In Your Opinnion: Is the butcher/slag version change anything for best use by Zero… any insights welcomed :acmwink: :v: peace :boom:

Butcher/Slag from the Christmas train… it is a slag one… on some it is good or on some it is bad… :acmhmm: ?-

Well, I really like the Butcher with any character (especially a shock or corrosive one.). If you want to know about synergies with specific characters, your best bet is to check out the top gear guide for the relevant character. Here’s the one for Zer0:

If you need to find the others, either your search engine of choice or going to the pinned “Community Resources” post in the relevant character category will get you there.

From experience I’d say it’s great on Zer0. Maybe not slag is the best element but it beats non elemental. Some of his synergies are high crit bonus to the butchers relatively high damage being a shotgun and Zer0 can really crank up the fire rate with Tw0 Fang and of course Zer0 has some accuracy buffs. So if you plan on making it a mainstay you should def check out some shotgun Zer0 builds and play around with those. As far as effectiveness ranging on character I’d say Krieg is the best Butcher user with Zer0 at a close second. Regardless of how you play, have fun

I’m curious to hear what your experience will be with the slag Butcher. It might be underwhelming because of the elemental damage nerf.

It will however be nuts with a Bee shield, if you’re so inclined.

Yes, thank you I am rather new in borderland 2 universes for me it is going like this lock down long range technique… begin to lock down mid range to shorter range strategies … finally move into short range hopefully a natural move the skill tree is half way down sniping, all the way down cunning, and left leg on top of bloodshed… it is certainly a lot of fun… as for the butcher I just got that last night from the Christmas train along with a big badaboom so that calls for at least a pre test battle and a main story line mission tonight maybe two… but I am not spec-ed into making it with close range work at this time … :acmaffirmative: peace :boom:

Seems like a nice slagging gun that has a bonus of sometimes refilling itself. It’ll definitely put in work against flying enemies.
I don’t remember if anything other than slag-infused enemies explicitly resist slag, so you could use it to hurt pretty much anything.

It’s hard not to like that gun… Hyperion for the high accuracy (even with the high barrel count and rapid fire). The only thing I might swap it with is one with a different element if/when you come across one. Do you have Rising Shot? Many of Zer0’s skills pack a ton of damage into a single shot, but it’s not like the rest of the shots aren’t worth it.

I like using unusual guns for slagging. (Lyuda, Pitchfork, Conference Call…) Anything with multiple pellets and/or high fire rate can work. It’s a good gun so I would definitively give it a shot.

Yeah, it’s pretty good. Right now, I’m a melee zero, and I mainly use it for FFYL, whether it be to kill weak enemies out of melee range, or to slag them and then melee them. I’m too lazy to get a grog nozzle or a dpuh
