I heard conflicting information about the bonuses it gives and that somehow they apply to all gun types and not sniper rifles?
I think that claim is ridiculus and have no idea how it would even work in the code but i want to clarify.

The crit bonus applies to all guns, the gun damage one only affects snipers.

It’s worth noting that most of the buffs from the com’s skills apply to all weapons as well, with the exceptions being the Critical Hit damage and bullet velocity effects only applying to ‘bullet firing’ weapons (includes many E-Tech weapons). So most of the benefits of the com aren’t really specific to sniper rifles. That said, together with what else is in the tree, the com is definitely ideal for sniper rifle use, comparatively speaking.
