Hawkeye vs. Muckamuck test results. W.I.P while i add all the pictures

The Hawkeye vs. Muckamuck was easily the most debated piece of gear on the top gear list, so we AKA @Kurtdawg13 finally got around to testing the 2.

Now a tumtum muckamuck and a gemstone version would have also been good weapons to test, but on a critical hit it will not out damage the Hawkeye.

The spec

Meant to increase base gun damage as much as possible

Items used in test:

Only the build, no Bee, COM, or relic

Hawkeye body shot: 371K

Muckamuck body shot: 865K

Hawkeye critical: 5056K

Muckamuck critical: 4498K

So the Hawkeye wins on crits
and the Muckamuck on body shots

to be expected with Axton tbh but great work nonetheless!

Exactly, but using a jakobs sniper for body shots is a bad idea anyways

And the damage of Hawkeye on crits is far superior while the damage it losses on bodyshots is not that much lower.

Thinking about it now, in combat with onslaught up the critical hit number difference would be even bigger

Correct. Anything boosting weapon dmg will raise the Critical hit dmg dramatically.

theoretically, running around with a Hawk Eye and a Bee shield, toss out your turret for slag and aggro and start picking off enemies with head shots. it would get increasingly easier to pull of oneshot kills with Onslaught boosting your dmg by 30%.

With that in mind, I’d even try using the Leg. Engineer for the extra cooldown it gives knowing that I can get 30% buff from a kill. that opens up the gear a bit. you can go from Soldier to Engineer depending on map choice and your desired results.

Gonna take Axton for a stroll with the Hawk Eye and your Jakobs build I’m currently using for this setup. If things go well, and I anticipate they will. I’ll post a vid.

I’m thinking that a “Sniper Slinger” Axton build would make for an interesting challenge: use sniper rifles instead of pistols, and maybe only hip-fire? Better make sure reload speed gets a major buff!

I like most of Scarlett’s DLC for sniping - Magnys Lighthouse for example.

@Piemanlee, those first set of pics are without the Bee, right? It might be worthwhile making note of that ( as the Bee pic sort of implies the Bee is on ) - at least until the second set of pics are uploaded.

Hawkeye with Maya is my favorite sniping setup. I prefer Klook Hawkeye which makes the Hawkeye feel much better with the slightly faster RoF. It doesn’t seem like much but I’ve tried them all and it definitely handles the best.

Iirc, Zero is emphasised but he uses Maya.
