This is just a fun yet very effective build I use for some of the less used and underrated guns that I personally adore.

  1. Injector: A torgue pistol with a vladof barrel, fairly mediocre damage by torgue standards but a very good gun IMO.

  2. KerBlaster: you may disagree but I think this gun is underrated as hell, it isn’t great at single target DPS but it’s crowd control is fantastic especially in smaller areas.

  3. Carnage: I do realise there are people that like this gun but I see a lot of hate for it, it’s a very good shotgun to me though.

some form of longbow slag grenade. If you want healing then use transfusion but If you want the best crowd slag then use Betty/bonny/crossfire(I don’t really use direct damage grenades).

Shield
personal preference… I could say blockade but that’s boring :smirk:

You may be wondering what the build has to do with the gun selection, tbh the main focus is the injector. Get a kill and see how insane the DPS becomes, even at OP8 it will melt everything.
Don’t comment “but DPUH is better” so is Norfleet but oh well :joy:

I think the synergy between the Kerblaster and Axton’s grenade buffs is well known. There’s a good Demonite video on it, as well. I’ve never liked the Carnage as much as the Swordsplosion or Ravager, but I admit I haven’t used any of them extensively, preferring the top tier Hyperion shotguns instead. I realise with the grenade splash, the explosive shotguns are an excellent choice for Axton.

Not sure if I’ve ever used the Injector…

The dpuh has 14? Projectiles, that’s why it wins any real dps tests

Yes but for all projectiles to hit you have to be very close range, the injector has a lot more range making it very good. We all know DPUH is op as hell but it’s boring lol

Just curious, but how do you feel about the Pocket Rocket? I know it isn’t considered top gear anywhere or by any means, and I’m sure it isn’t setting any records, but the name rhymes and the red text makes me giggle. Maybe it’s strictly anecdotal, but I think it’s fairly accurate and the projectiles seem a tad faster than most Torgue gear. It definitely put in work for me when I brought Sal through the Campaign of Carnage.

I like it but tbh it does get out done by some non red text torgue pistols, the only reason the injector stands out for me is the fire rate as it gives it higher dps than other torgue pistols. Pocket rocket works pretty well though.

I prefer to think of it as a pumped up Slapper, but when that drunk effect kicks in, that’s about right. I think I’ll have Salvester send his CrAxton’s way and see what he thinks about it.

While Axton doesn’t have explosive buffs I still find the Carnage very fun and worth using on him. The Carnage is still the best on Krieg because of “Strip the Flesh” and another skill which I can’t remember the name that boosts shotgun damage. I think generally you are better off with a Ravager or a SWORDSLOSION!!! for most of the time. Sometimes I like doing Torgue builds entirely so a Spitter is also a good choice or just a Torgue AR with the standard Vladof barrel. The Injector is always a good find if you don’t have a DPUH but the DPUH is so easy to get why waste time farming a world drop Injector when you could just go kill Savage Lee or farm the Torgue machines, y’know what I mean?

I understand. It seems like a solid build to go for while leveling to 72. Perhaps you find one in the train or a chest and then decide to go for a Torgue classmod from a Torgue machine, an explosive relic or something and a Ravager and you should be set for a couple levels or so. I know it was mentioned before but the Pocket Rocket also has a place here. I might try the build out and keep a Pocket Rocket on me for long range encounters and such. Another fun thing to use would be a Meteor Shower and just go all out explosive build.

Mirv grenades are fun but I honestly can’t live without my slag grenades lol and I only post builds if they work at op8 so don’t be afraid to use it there :wink:

With expertise he has the 1st or 2nd fastest swap speed. Anytime you use a legendary soldier you should put 1 point in it

Ye I know, just don’t like that play style with him that’s all. Also with my usual build he doesn’t need grog so switching isn’t vital

No Nuke? It’s pretty awesome.

How about a Deadly Bloom? With the L Ranger’s shield buffs, I think it be pretty crazy. Maybe with Tediore &/or Hyperion parts for even more recharge.
