Healthgate build for general use

Healthgate is great for bosses but in most cases doesn’t work for mobbing, this build helps make it way more viable. There are very specific requirements though, the following is done with no BAR so adjust health skills accordingly.

First the build;
http://bl2skills.com/commando.html#55055104015005015000050054150050
(If you have +10%~ max health in BAR then I would move the points from forbearance to resourceful and one point from healthy to preparation)

Now the COM;
Your best possible option is an Unstoppable Pointman with +6 Grit/+5 Pressure but it has to be level 72, if you don’t have one then a Grisly Pointman would give a +5 Grit bonus.
(Go to op0 and farm the loot train, you will get one of em after a while)

Finally the shield;
I didn’t figure this part out and take no credit for it. You will need a white op8 turtle shield with 2 bandit parts and a maliwan capacitor. Any resistance except explosive as it would increase heath reduction on the shield and result in you having 1hp.

I’ve done a lot of testing today and although it’s not easy to put the setup together, with the skills I used it makes you nearly invincible in any situation so it’s worth the time imo.

Only posted as I haven’t seen anyone use healthgate in general play and only for certain bosses.

EDIT: Tested a Legendary Pointman and it would have to be level 70, also it boosts healthy which would further reduce your health and you get one less point in grit, it can work but not worth it IMO.

Consider also a legendary pointman.

IMO grit is underated. I love grit.

I was farming tubby bones but he kept dropping rangers lol so I can’t vouch for the exact stats of a level 72 legendary Pointman or I would have probably used that instead. I meant the regen/max health boosts btw as they need to be very specific

It boost +5 grit and 4 other skills.

Ye but what’s the max health and regen/sec like?

Not sure.

Btw if you want extreme health gating with axton try the below. I have it on my ps3 axton but not with my ps4.

This would do the same, as long as you have more health regen/sec than max health then it’s the same effect. The reason I made this particular build though is so it can be used as more than a boss punch bag lmao. Also my way leaves you free to use any relic you want :slight_smile:

Btw How much is your remaining health? Is your bar on? How much is the health regen on the com?

Xbox is off now and yes all the above is without bar.
I think ~3600hp and the regen on COM is ~3900/sec
I’ll check

EDIT: 3624hp and regen is 3979.2

Nice. How many minus health the turtle shield have? And i’ll go looking for it. I am still on the lookout with corrosive immunity white turtle shield with health penalty of 526+++ for my maya.

It’s -614967, ye they are hard to find lol been searching for a full set and took me around a month to find em all. I did the bar brawl and then killed Pete over and over again, not a bad way to get white shields

Pete seems a good run, i farmed sanctuary vending machines which is rather boring.

Yes it is but there’s a vendor in his bar so 2 birds 1 stone :wink:

This is one of those times i regret not saving my ps3 loot collection and characters to ps4. I got a full set of healthgate builds for zero, axton, krieg and maya. :man_facepalming::man_facepalming:

I don’t like healthgate tbh as on any other characters you can’t really mob with it, Grit and pressure are the only reason Axton can. I might be wrong though :smirk:

I used it for casual and fun raiding in coop, where i am unkillable and sometimes being tag as a cheat. :shushing_face:
