I’ll check it out but highly doubt anything will make a difference to his low melee damage, only seems to do anything when killing blow is active

EDIT: so none of them run pure melee zero… Pointless then imo. Might aswell run shotgun zero

Honestly, I’m not a tremendous melee player like Sun , Striker , Enderborn , Nisciunu , User but I don’t have any problems one-shotting big targets - even without Counter Strike active ( Scorch is a good test ).

It definitely requires a Ninja COM ( Leg or blue ) though.

I used a leg ninja, the seraphs melee relic(can’t remember name), hide of terra, slag, kunai and rapier and couldn’t kill a nomad with execute

Almost everyone runs a variation of this

I take Unforseen instead of Rising Shot. There’s no reason to not run the Bore version : any additional points are ( almost ) wasted in the other trees.

Melee relics add nothing to your damage : the melee formula calculates that early on, and will give you an extra 1% melee damage tops. Use a cooldown relic or Bone instead ( not that they will increase damage, but cooldown is obviously good ).

I’m not sure why you’re unable to get the kind of damage you should be ( are you hitting from behind? is your Hide under-leveled? ). Maybe check out Altair’s guide :

Whole load out is op8 and yes from behind, I’ve been playing jakobs shotgun zero for like 4 days and loved it so I’m used to assassinating enemies, just couldn’t kill anything with melee

There’s some key factor that’s missing - melee Zer0 is insanely powerful at OP8.

Well I have no clue what it could be. I slag them, break my grounded hide with a chain lightning, kunai them and execute in the back. Anything I’m missing?

Are you executing right away or letting the timer go down to almost zero?

Right away I think

OK! Your execute damage is massively increased if you wait til the last split-second.
Try practicing on spiderants ( especially Queens ) : nice big butt and they move in predictable ways.

So of all the Zer0 guides I’ve watched not one person has mentioned that…

Edit: thank you @Jefe,

Well that’s no good at all. That’s the single most important thing about his action skill ( guns too )

Ok so I almost one shot an ultimate badass loader, maybe Washburne isn’t the best place to test

With Backstab, Ambush, Execute, slag, deathmark, Hide, Rapier and (leg) Ninja COM you should be able to one shot pretty much anything that isn’t Dukino’s Mom, Saturn or some major boss.

Melee Zer0 is arguably one of the strongest builds there is at end game.

I’m fairly sure the game tells you that if you read the action skills tooltip.

Watched a few videos before I started playing Zer0 and none of them said it was time based when they mentioned the damage boosts so I just assumed they knew their stuff

I think the maximum buff is reached when there’s 0,7 seconds left on the timer. You don’t need that for weaker enemies but you should try aiming for that on tougher customers.
