So Maya BeeHawk

Never used BeeHawk until recently because I’m stupid(didn’t need to be said as it’s obvious) so I chose Maya and put this build together, are there any changes I could make that would benefit BeeHawk?

I use fire, shock and corrosive Flying Sand Hawks(I’m dedicated lol)
Thanks in advance!

I think it’s a very odd choice to put 5/5 in Sub Sequence, and nothing in Quicken. SS can be really good, but it can also get stuck against walls and stuff, which then leads to a longer session without phaselock. Most of the veterans here only use it if they’re running a Thoughtlock build. Kinetic reflection is a skill that can really shine with at least 10/5 in it. Anything less, and you’d probably benefit more if you put those points somewhere else. like Quicken… That is, if you’re set on specing Sub Sequence.

From your previous posts, I got the fact that you use a Grog for healing, so that explains why there are no points in any of the healing skills. Against bosses, this is a wise choice, but for general mobbing, I find it much more efficient to spec in the healing skills instead. That way, I don’t have to stop the killing in order to heal. It also opens up the path to Scorn, which is a really good skill to have.

Apart from that, I would also move one point to get 5/5 in Immolate. The Bee doesn’t offer much when it comes to protection, and I tend to go down every now and then. Immolate is great in those situations!

I’m bad so I need to lol

It’s mainly for bosses, for mobbing I use sweet release. That’s also why I wasn’t sure about some skills as a lot of em are based on groups of enemies and are kinda useless for bosses

As it’s mainly a boss kill build I didn’t see the point, I should have stated what I intended to use this build for and I switch between bee and blockade mid boss fight sometimes or I’d be insta dead lol

A Grog is more or less necessary against the big bosses. We all use it, so no shame in that!

If this is a boss build, then I have to say that Sub Sequence makes even less sense. Kinetic Reflection and Inertia will also do very little for you.

As you pointed out, many of Maya’s skills are useless against most bosses, so it’s basically a matter of picking all the skills that passively boost your dps, and those that passively boost your survivability. Even if many of the survival skills are kill skills, or are triggered by phaselock, it’s still a good idea to go down the Harmony tree to get Sustenance and Scorn, so that’s where I usually spend the remaining points. Some passive healing and being able to slag while in FFYL without switching guns is really nice.

Against Son of Craw, it’s often a better choice to go with a mobbing build.

4/5 or 5/5 in Immolate is a minor issue, so don’t get too hung up on that. It’s just how I’d go. I’m not a big fan of Helios, so I’d rather have it in Immolate instead. If the slagging effect from Ruin came before the Helios blast, then it would be a really good skill, but here it comes when the enemies aren’t slagged. This, however, would be one of those times where Sub Sequence would be useful. The enemies won’t be slagged at the initial blast, but for the following ones, they will be.

On a side note… They changed the order in the Community patch.

On another side note… Some of the Bosses wash off the slag really fast, so whether it’s worth those 6 points to get from Reaper to Ruin or not, is worth considering. Those points might be of better use elsewhere. Just a thought!

you’re maya build below is sufficient enough. IMO non-thoughtlock build looks the same regardless of playstyles, ruin is a must and it’s either you need more cooldown (then go quicken and SS) or you need more healing (go down harmony tree).

So just use that build and switch binder for cat?

it’s actually too OP for a beehawk, but we use somewhat the same build when I am speed running arena like Digistruck Peak or raiding.

OP is fine with me lol
