Sniper Maya Build

I think this is the most fun I’ve ever had sniping in this game, very viable at OP 8

No specific gear needed except for snipers of course but I’ll list a few things that I recommend and why

SNIPER
Snider(my personal favourite)
Pimpernel(with converge and chain reaction the pellets usually hit more than one enemy)
Volcano(with converge the splash damage is useful)

Might wanna take a Norfleet or DPUH for FFYL

SHIELD
Cracked Sash(for casual things)
Blockade(for prolonged fights)
Flame of the Firehawk(for more AOE although more for emergencies as you shouldn’t be that close when sniping)

CLASS MOD
Legendary Binder(for boost to Reaper, Helios, Suspension and Wreck)

You could use the Legendary Cat but SMG boosts are useless for this build

RELIC
Bone of the Ancients: Corrosive/fire(depending on the situation and gun choice)
Heart of the Ancients(with sniper damage)
Stockpile relic(if you run out of sniper ammo a lot)

GRENADE
Honestly comes down to preference and situation, use your best judgement, that being said a Quasar is your best bet for crowd control.

Hope someone enjoys it as much as me

Well, missing the point somewhat. Chain Reaction is the skill that shines most with this weapon.

I wouldn’t recommend it, no need really.

Absolutely not, it’s a melee shield. I recommend the Antagonist or Blockade.

Legendary Siren is better for more cooldown and generally just more useful than 5/5 in Quicken, those points are better used elsewhere.

It has one corrosive skill that is so good it doesn’t need boosting. You’re better off matching your elemental Bone to the area you’re in, just like weapons.

Not really, it’s advisable to always use a Quasar with Maya for the extra crowd control.

My preferences, not a set rule.

Generally accepted facts. But whatever, if you want to use sub-optimal items and setup, go ahead.

I use what’s fun, don’t take yourself so serious

Nice!

You shouldn’t need that for Bee amp damage unless you’re getting hit regularly (in which case, I’d definitely recommend something else). My Hyperion-only Siren uses regular amp shields, and loves some Ward and Inertia for this reason though.

Legendary Cat is what I use, but we probably snipe differently. I think the last time I went out sniping, I used a Bullet Witch though, so don’t listen to me. :stuck_out_tongue:

I agree… my Hyperion Siren uses a Quasar for aggressive mobbing, but when she’s sniping, she rocks a slag Nasty Surprise. Even if I wasn’t manufacturer-locked, I might use that grenade for sniping. Is it better than a Magic Missile for slagging enemies? I’ll never tell.

If you want to ignore the bazillion-minus-ten pieces of gear available in the rest of the entire game, go ahead. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You know what parts are best for regular amps? I’d rather make one in gibbed than farm Pete lol

Quasar and converge is amazing, makes crowd control easy

That’s literally what I was about to say. That’s why you don’t just use Shamfleet.

Maliwan parts, but be careful save editors aren’t tolerated over here so you shouldn’t talk about it.

Thanks and really? Thanks for telling me

I’d say all Hyperion for regular amps, so they recharge as fast as possible.
Maliwan would offer the highest amp damage, but if that’s what you’re after you may aswell use the bee

I have been using bee but I’m hitting 82mil crits when I phaselock an enemy so 1.8mil boost seems negligible, might use blockade

Amp damage boosts critical damage. Blockade is my favorite shield, so I’d say use it

My Twisted Pimp Maya uses an Evolution very successfully. That may change once she goes after the Dragons and is lucky enough to have a Blockade drop, tho…so far, that hasn’t happened.

What console you on?

PC only

Damn on Xbox or I’d give you a blockade, antagonist isn’t as good but it’s not a bad alternative imo also if you get a sponge over 2mil cap it’s decent

Thanks for the offer, I appreciate it.

My Gaige has an Antagonist…works REALLY well for her.

Ahh gaige… The character I suck most with lol

Just to back you up on the Legendary Binder, I agree it’s the COM of choice when running SS.

The boost to Reaper is less critical than the other skill boosts, but SS is best abused by the longest Suspension time possible. That way you get the maximum times Converge, Helios, Ruin trigger and long and almost constant stream of Chain Reaction and kill skills.

Your 5/5 in Blight Phoenix is a curious choice though. I always take a point or two ; but I’ll max it if I’m running Life Tap - which you can’t get to.
