Recent Xbox360 update

I just noticed the update when I fired my Xbox1 up this afternoon. Anyone know what it is for? The size was almost 700 MBs if that helps.

Didn’t notice anything, but I was in other games. I’ll check it out tomorrow.

So I have the gearbox weapon pack. Wonder what else is new.

are you playing the original Borderlands? Sounds like you’re starting a new character and I believe if you have a save file from your 360 it gives you gearbox weapons to start with. Is this what you’re describing? otherwise I am not aware of a “gearbox weapon pack” or I’m just not remembering…getting old man… lol :older_man:t2:

Yeah, but I never had the pack until the update I mentioned

Got the same update myself and it’s downloading now. I’m pretty sure it’s not the GBX Weapon Pack since I already have that (had the GOTY 360 disks which I used for the initial installation of the backwards compatible version of BL1). Unfortunately, no information in the XBL store on what the update is. It’s not from GBX so I assume it’s something to do with improved performance of the backwards compatible version of the game. Looks like it will be another 5 minutes or so…

Edit: Welp, got me stumped. Not seeing anything different or unusual. I’ll stick with my “improves performance of the backwards compatible version” theory for now.

Found out what it was. It was the underdome for me, maybe it was dlc possibly?

Already had it all installed, and have played all three prior to the update. So no, I don’t think it was that - unless it was a fix to ensure access? There were multiple reports of folks not having the DLCs with the backwards compatible version, despite having owned it previously. Maybe the update just made sure everyone has the full game?

Now that you mention this, it rang a bell in my head, I read something similar, and I do believe that’s what this is. Not certain but it seems to fall into place when you keep in mind the issue with DLC people were having at one point.

Ok so access, still doesnt explain why i have it

I think everyone got it, so that everyone with the backwards compatible version of BL1 has the full DLC content? There was an issue when it was first launched (and then when it was featured as one of the “Games with Gold” titles) where some players couldn’t access the stuff they already had.

For what it’s worth, I just fired up my Xbox One and got an Update for the original Borderlands that is 696.60MB in size. I have played online on that game on Xbox One before now with no issues and had all DLC prior to today, installed and working.

That’s the update we’re talking about. It’s weird, because it just came out of nowhere. I’m pretty sure it’s just something MS has done to ensure that the game works properly for everyone.

Strange. It worked before the update for me, but I guess it wasn’t for everyone so they addressed it.
