Galateia's Journey to 72 and Beyond!

The last vault hunter on PS4 that I have to level up is a Mechromancer. I left her to last on purpose, because previously the two I struggled to get motivated for the most were Zer0 and Axton, both of which are now at 72.

She’s now level 18, and i’ve just returned from Overlook during Bright Lights, Flying City. Here’s where her build is so far.

Using a Tediore Corrosive Shotgun, a Teapot, and Good and Bad Touch, and a Fire Roksalt that I did just sell. I may go and get a Heartbreaker before WEP

No close enough?

Of course, i’m just starting in OC because i’ve never actually done that before! Once I get another point in Preshrunk to cap at 250 stacks for now, i’ll move into the BFFs tree

Makes sense. I’m not a gaige player, so i won’t be much help with the skills trees and what not

Ok, I stopped for the night with her at level 20. Just returned from WEP. Here’s some footage.

When I came back to Pandora I will start a new mechromancer as well (first time to level up 1). Find a good build i like with Gaige while doing some raids without relying to anarchy and involves discord looping.

It’s not needed until late TVHM or early UVHM. Even more so there’s no need for Preshrunk Cyberpunk until early/mid UVHM, of course, so that’s the part of the build I find questionable. And not having at least a point in CuT for the out of combat healing (have I mentioned that I find that important in a character? )

Moxxi weapon + melee container heals me between combat :stuck_out_tongue:

I forgot to update here yesterday, so i’ll do it now. I progressed through NVHM, all that’s now left is meeting Claptrap in Eridium Blight, then Hero’s Pass etc. Here’s the build so far, level 29.

Next point goes in to Upshot Robot, obviously. Then Unstoppable Force (I really do love movement speed boosts!)

I personally never found Close Enough a must, specially not at such early levels; I usually go into OC until Discord and then build in LBT.

I’ve neglected this thread, apologies. Anyway, she’s finished TVHM and has made a start in UVHM. All Southern Shelf side missions done apart from Symbiosis, and also did the Snowman DLC to open it up for her to use for farming.

I changed build at the start, once Hammerlock put the power back on. Here it is.

The gear she has:

Level 50 Amplified Fibber
Level 50 Tidal Wave
Level 50 DPUH
Level 50 Badaboom.

In the backpack, I have a level 50 Grog, a Juicy Flakker (Jakobs parts) from The Warrior in TVHM, a few legendary class mods she can’t use yet that other vault hunters picked up with her in mind, and a Bee Shield. She’s using a purple Fire Nova shield at the moment just because I haven’t found something better up to now, and a level 48 Storm Front because why not. Oh, she also has a level 35 Magic Missile in her backpack.

I am an avid Gaige player as well. I’m glad to see your journey is coming along. I will warn you UVHM is a pain, especially with Gaige. My recommendation, is to get comfortable with Discord loops. As far as builds go, which I’m still working on for her in UVHM don’t neglect Deathtrap and survival skills. Piece of advice, and this is going to seem crazy, ditch the Grog Nozzle, Magic Missile, and Chain Lightning. They will only pigeon hold you as you level up to 72 and the OP levels and prevent you from learning how to Discord loop. There aren’t many slag options with Gaige, but they do exist outside of Magic Missiles, find them. Also avoid pre-stacking at all costs. This will make you a better player overall. If you are going to step into UVHM also avoid the DLC, complete the main quest 1st and then side missions. The DLC is pretty hard and it takes some time to adjust playing UVHM, especially at higher levels. Come up with your own builds naturally, and avoid what you see on Youtube and even some of the forums. LOL. Have fun and don’t be afraid to experiment. There’s no shame and getting downed a lot either, especially with Gaige. She’s one of the hardest characters to learn how to master for real, but she can be a lot of fun. Good Luck!

She’s already at 72, I just forgot to update here :man_facepalming:

Oh I’m sorry I misunderstood you. If you’re going into the OP levels the same advice still applies, but congrats either way. I feel like her and Sal are the hardest characters to level up. If you’ve already completed the OP levels did you find a build you are comfortable with?

I got her to OP4 on Xbox a long time ago, but I can’t remember what I did to be honest. I plan on getting them all to OP8 on PS4 eventually, right now i’m in a bit of a period of farming stuff casually, half hearted play because I only got a PS4 in September and now have all 6 to 72 (Sal OP8, Maya OP6, the other 4 haven’t been to the peak yet on this platform)
