Ok so I’ve changed punctation for this run to make it easier.

7 min long gunzerk - 100 points - additional 10 points for every 10 more seconds
6:00 to 6:69 - 90 points
5:00 to 5:59 - 70 points
4:00 to 4:59 - 60 points
3:00 to 3: 59 - 50 points
below 3 min - 40 points

Run punctation:

  1. Striker - 150 points

As before general punctation goes with those rules :

Round 4

The Longest CA(Aritical Ascension)

Character: Zer0
Map: Bloodshot Stronghold
Game difficulty: Normal Mode

The weapon which we gonna use will be OP8 Elephant Gun :slight_smile: and you are allow to use only this weapon. Everything else from gear set its up to you. But game needs to be set to Normal Mode.

General Rules same as before, which is :

  1. No Badass Rank(BAR) so we can make it fair.
  2. No exploits or glitches e.g. weapon merging.
  3. Voice and game sound must be hearable - this is to avoid cheating by using 3rd party stuff to reduce game speed for example. You can still add some music if you want to your run but all other sounds from game must be hearable.
  4. No Unoffical Community Patch and/or other 3rd party softwares.
  5. You can upload your run anywhere you want as long as its watchable and everybody has access to it.
  6. All gear and spec + No BAR must be shown at end or begining of the run.

Run Rules :

  1. Game mode needs to be set to normal. This is because if you miss the headshot and do body shot with OP8 weapon against level ~15lvl enemy then it will be insta kill. So aim carefully :smiley:
  2. End CA stack counter will right be before you exit Stroghold to Ramparts.
  3. You can use very low level nades if you want to(any kind of nades)

General Punctation same as before :

1st place - 100 points
2nd - 50 points
3rd - 40 points
4th - 30 points
places from 5th and below - 20 points

Run punctation:
10 CA stacks - 100 points, additional 10 points for every 1 more CA stack
9 CA - 90 points
8 CA - 80 points
7 CA - 70 points
6 CA - 60 points
5 CA - 50 points
4 CA - 40 points
3 CA - 30 points
2 CA - 20 points
1 CA - 10 points

This one will be interesting and the runs should be a lot of fun to watch.

Getting the gear might be tricky. Does anyone know exact spec shield/ com that’ll work, if you do, are you allowed to post a pic save like the first challenge? Or does it not matter if you have zero vs negative shield for the speed bonus?

Stacking CA with the elephant gun without a rogue com will be interesting.

I have never spec’d it , so I’m feeling the pressure ( again ). Luckily I like the Elephant Gun : if I hated it , as some people do , it would be drudgery.

I’ll work on getting some general guidelines for an appropriate Turtle.

This is going to be interesting.

Edit : I missed the part about this being NVHM, so shield level is irrelevant.

I’m pretty sure y’all have to use a low level tortoise and an op8 leg sniper com :wink:

Thanks Jefe. I guess getting the shield right won’t be too tough if all we’re looking for is lower capacity than the com’s shield penalty.

I was thinking of how with sal the Titan com with the RR doesn’t work for skills that require your shield to be down and thinking something similar might apply for getting the fabeled tortise’s speed boost but that doesn’t look to be the case.

Edit: get the speed boost from the shield, but don’t get fearless for the fire rate boost. Do we have to kill all enemies or can we leave some if they’ll ruin your stacks?

Just want to throw this out there : if anyone thinks they can hit that upper tier ( 30 stacks ), I will be well and truly amazed. I’ll be very impressed if I can hit 10.

Well I’m out of this one- my gunzerk attempts failed miserably unfortunately, with Oney getting stuck behind his gate on the last 2 attempts. Have fun storming the castle, folks! :smile:

I’m impressed if anyone gets over 4 or maybe 5 depending on the enemy types in the last room. Do you remember how many stacks you had before reaching Roland’s cell?

I would also like some clarification:

I never got why you get a speed boost from a turtle - I never use them.

Also it seemed to me that Fearless was boosting fire rate ( because I’m familiar with the E-Gun’s paralyzingly slow fire rate ) but this requires a test.

It looks to me like you can blow by tough targets, but I just realized it’s the final number you get at the end of the map that counts. This just got tougher.

Only the fabeled tortise gives a speed boost when depleted as far as I know. The symbol doesn’t show up for fearless so I’d assume it isn’t active.

It’s pretty funny that you can face tank mad Mike’s RL with no shield and barely see your health drop.

Number at the end will be extremely tough, if we used max number reached in a run that might be better? Or another map? I almost want to start the pirate dlc on normal just to see what could be done in washburne

Edit: it’s also nice that ammo is so cheap on normal

And also the game has to be set to normal as well
So if you do body shot it will Insta kill so crits really matter

Iirc you only get a speed boost from a fabel tortoise when it’s depleted. So a tortoise with 0 capacity from the leg sniper would always be depleted, thos giving the speed boost the entire time

Wow. Here’s me not reading the OP properly…again. I read the Fabled Tortoise as any turtle.
That’s a pretty time consuming farm.

Blue isn’t that bad of a farm. Axton with onslaught, breakneck maya, btcsd sal, RtB krieg, zero and gaige both have a speed increase to i think
