Seraph Crystal Inquiry

I haven’t been able to find info about this, but do higher OP level raid bosses drop more Seraph Crystals than OP0 UVHM? Need to farm some up, and wanted to know if OP8 was even worth it for crystals.

I’ve never counted but I don’t think the OP level matters for crystal drops. I farmed the Dragon’s not too long ago on both OP0 and OP8 and I don’t recall there being much of a difference, if at all.

No, it’s the same regardless.

Thanks much!

Thank you kindly! I wasn’t able to find much about this, so I appreciate it. Especially since I can take down Pyro Pete the Invincible in seconds vs. minutes in OP8 heh.

You can still take him down in seconds. Here you go!

950k+ Badass rank… That’s a bit much! Is this still viable, or is it a glitch method, because I am trying to do legit methods, no exploits. I did the whole Electric Sandhawk + Electric BoA + Chaotic Evil Monk that supposedly takes his shield down in a few shots, but it no longer works that way… I used this exact build, and no-go. Vid shows his shields going down in seconds, but you’re lucky to get 1/8th of it down with the same method now.

I mean, you chose Salvador, who is essentially a talking exploit… In that sense, it’s entirely legitimate.

How old is this vid? If it is before the Oct 2015 patch there may be a certain infamous exploit being used. If it is after that be aware that there was a fade just before he hit the button to summon Pete- something may have happened there, If this happened after the Oct patch then he may have taken off Pete’s helmet first w/o showing it, which helps to quickly take him out…

some of @Kurtdawg13 BAR is from the old slag glitch, but I have 945,000 all through legit methods with no glitches

Show off!

Well, this is definitely an exploit. it’s a mechanical glitch that is inherent to Sal’s offhand mechanics and how it correlates to the mainhand weapon. its an “in game” exploit not using any illegitimate means or 3rd party shenanigans. :innocent:

True  ,
But it shows that it can be done

which I’ve never tried, so I’m going to have to try it out,

Its how I farm all my great gear. Sal is the RAID king for me. When I’m killing for fun or a challenge, I don’t use the exploit. it’s purely a quick and efficient way to farm gear for me.

Ooph! That’s impressive. I tried finding information on the max BAR a player could get, but all the info was pretty dated, so I see it is technically attainable.

Wow, impressive! I thought I put a lot of hours into this game and I’m at almost 100k. Do you go out of your way to farm BAR, or did this just come naturally through multiple characters?

I don’t know about that… Using the Grog Nozzle and UKH with Gunzerker isn’t a glitch nor exploit imo, because the guns are doing exactly what they were made to do, just in an amplified manner–steal life (Grog) and deal absurd explosive damage with Money Shot (UKH).
Using the method as shown above, is arguably considered a glitch because you’re exploiting a glitch to get Money Shot on every hit, and adding the main hand elemental type to boost the weapon even further, which the game designers did not intend on. Essentially, using items in a way to glitch the game programming outside of what the developers initially intended on, is an exploit or glitch, at least imo.

You just assumed what I was referring to, incorrectly, I might add.

glitch exploit potato potahto

This is just semantics. GBX designed characters & gear to be weird and left it to us to figure out devious ways to use it. We play the game to have fun and/or be challenged. DuuurPimping is a brainless enterprise but I still enjoy it.

The only time this is not semantics is with the Time Trials, but that’s just semantics…
