Stocking up Before UVHM

Suggestions on what to farm for before entering UVHM?

That depends on a lot of factors. Which character are you using? What kind of build do you use with that character? What do you like most in the weapon choices?

I’m playing as Axton and my skill tree is fully specced into guerilla then with 1 point put into all the others along the top apart from “healthy”. The reason I’ve got all the ones along the top is cos I’m using the legendary soldier class mod

@Kuolemanlaakso here is my skill tree apart from the legendary soldier class mod giving me a bonus five along each of the top skills (apart from healthy)

I wouldn’t waste time farming anything for UVHM. It’s not as bad as people think. You’ll find good enough stuff along the way and anything you farm now will be underpowered very quickly because of how UVHM scales. Farm a bee shield and that’s all I would worry about.

OK thanks I’ve already farmed for a bee shield so I’m good to go?:joy:

I honestly didn’t use a Bee shield on my Axton until after I’d finished main story at level 72. As @Ryoushinteki said, anything you farm at level 50 is going to fade fairly quickly in UVHM. One thing I found that did hold up pretty well was a longbow Bonus Package - that was really hard to find a replacement for! Also, a good slagging weapon for when your turret is on cool down (or you want to wait to deploy it just a bit longer). The beauty of UVHM is that, once you’ve unlocked a particular farm, you can go back at any time and re-farm for a new at-level item (eg Hornet for buzzards and loaders). There might be a few TVHM mission items you’d like to get at level 50, but I wouldn’t invest more than an hour in that.

My suggestion would be to grab a reliable slag weapon. Otherwise gear can be acquired as needed.

Edit: ninja’d on the suggestion.

OK thanks for the suggestions everyone, I’ve already got a Rubi and a Slagga so you think I should just start UVHM?

And @VaultHunter101 how do I get the bonus package?

Luck, and farming Boom’n’Bewm. I was really fortunate in that I had one drop in the story mission on my first UVHM character. That thing was jealously guarded and passed down through 6 different characters. Not sure, but you might also be able to purchase them in Torgue vending machines? You could farm the tokens on TVHM and just push the DLC story in UVHM far enough to unlock access to a couple of machines.

I would. If you feel in the first level that you need something else, you can drop back to TVHM to pick it up and then revert to UVHM anyway, Better that than out-levelling your equipment.

OK brilliant, thanks for the advice :+1:

AFAIK the only grenade to appear in Torgue vending machines is the Rolling Thunder…

Well, that can be effective, but it’s a bit trickier to use than a Bonus Package (unless the latter is Rubberized…)

Nope, Bonus Package and Rolling Thunder are both in it. Bonus Package is extremely rare to appear but it’s there.

Kerblaster
Nukem
Herald
The shotty I can’t remember
Rolling Thunder
Bonus Package

There’s also some damn good class mods that very rarely appear and come with high end parts giving you the best stats. Axtons Grenadier is in it and Sals got one as well.

No, you can get Bonus Packages in there too. Not even rare, I get them all the time, the key is to pretend you’re farming something else, so for example, load up Moxxi’s Bar in the DLC with the intention of farming a Flakker. That way you’ll get everything but a flakker

Well I’ve got no DLC so… :joy:

So what’s the point of farming gear if 50 is your maximum level?

You can get UVHM without pruchasing any of the story-based DLC (Scarlett, Torgue, etc.). I don’t know if that’s the OPs case, but there you go.

Yea level 72 is still max level I just can’t to OP levels without DLC
