The bee + Double Unkempt Herold!

I’m making a build with the bee and double penetration unkempt herold, but in pratice im saw only 2 effects of the bee, shooting in walls of the game.
Mine impression or the bee not works anymore with DP Unkempt?

It works. You probably took some damage and you didn’t notice.

So DP Unkempt its best than Sandhawk?

They’re both strong - meta as it is.

DPUH maybe outbeat SH on closer distances, but on longer ranges SH better.

what character are you playing?

It does work with the DPUH

You are not planning to go mobbing with the bee are you?

The Bee/Harold combo is lethal on large targets.

No, for farming invencibles, i’m playing with maya.

The bee + DPUH results in 2 hits of The bee.
Sad thing

The DPUH lists two pellets and thus will only receive 0.5 amp bonus per pellet. This is still insane amounts of damage however the Sandhawk, Ladyfist and Pimpernel are all superior weapons to abuse the bee with. One of the main reasons is that the unkempt Harold has no access to different elements. Elemental multipliers are multiplicative to amp damage.

I’m going try, thanks for tip !

Any weapon with unlisted pellets will do wonders

With the Bee, you’re better off with a different prefix as the Bee’s damage is going to be cut in 2 for each half of the projectile count, so it won’t give you much, but will still double your ammo cost, slow your fire rate, lower your base damage and force you to reload more often… Hard or Intense would be the best when it comes to DPS, but the bullet speed accessory would be my choice because it would allow you to use the harold from a bit longer, ensuring that you have increased chances to keep your Bee up.

When trying to take advantage of the Bee, you should consider your gun as a delivery mechanism only: The gun’s damage pales in comparison to the Bee’s damage, so the more amp you can shoot, the better. As such, the best guns are those that have a mix of these things: High fire rate (more shots per second), unlisted pellets (more hits per shot) and Splash damage (more amp applications per hit). Bonus points if your gun has all 3 (like the Hail for example).

Some things that multiply damage will also multiply amp damage. Crits and element matching chief among them. So if that gun also happens to have an element and to increase crit damage (like… the Hail for example, again), you’ll get even more out of the Bee.

On paper, the Hail, harold and Sandhawk are probably the best guns to take advantage of the Bee, but in actual use, the Pimpernel is REALLY hard to beat.

I’m a lvl 71 zerker and my build is the bee + slagga + DPUH, and it works wonders when farming. I don’t know if this would be the best thing for Maya though.

It works much better with Maya than with Sal :stuck_out_tongue:

I did not know that, I’m only a level 50 with Maya and I’ve never tried this. Is there a certain build that you have to have in order for it to be good? If so what build?

Maya’s Ward skill adds capacity and takes out a chunk of the Bee’s long recharge delay (even better with a com that boosts Ward.) Sal doesn’t have any skills that help shields stay up. Maya also has her Reaper, Wreck, and Chain Reaction skills that send Bee-powered DPS through the roof especially with element-matched unlisted-pellet guns. Maya with a Legendary Cat COM, elemental Sandhawks, Bee, and a Bone to element-match the Sandhawk in hand is sick DPS and is pretty much one of the quintessential Beehawking builds. If I’m farming Hyperius, that build (with a fire Sandhawk and fire Bone) is capable of taking him down before his loader minions throw his shield up, if all the pellets land true with a little luck mixed in (at OP0 anyway.)

Axton and Gaige are good for Bee abuse too because they also have skills that boost capacity and reduce recharge delay (and in Gaige’s case, Blood Soaked Shields which instantly fills a shield on a kill at 5/5.)
