Unique Weapons in Vending Machine

So, I don’t know how this is a thing, but I just got a Jack-O’-Cannon and an Ol’ Painful from the Vending Machines in Triton Flats.
Like, is something like this normal or did my game glitch somehow?
It isn’t modded, which is why I’m even more confused…?

The uniques got added to the relevant loot pool in an update a while ago. You can also get them from other sources including (iirc) the grinder. Enjoy your finds!

this, basically. bit of an, “we’re not gonna update this cuz it kinda flopped. so here, a legit way to get them” kinda thing.

  1. As others have said been like this for a long while. I can’t remember for sure, but I believe you can find/buy most all uniques and Legendarys in the vending machines. Been getting “The Machine” sniper and the “Boom-A-Corn” a lot recently. In fact the venders are first for any farming I do, followed by some of the main Bosses. And also the main reason I always tell people to check those venders as you run by.

There are 4 blue unique weapons you can find in the vending machines/grinder:

  1. The Jack O’Cannon
  2. The Ol’ Painful
  3. The Boomacorn
  4. The Machine

Most were rewards for holiday events that Gearbox decided to make available year-round.

That’s normal for the 4 weapons listed above as well as for legendaries in general. They can drop from any source of loot.

What about the Wet Week? I thought it was one of the world drop uniques as well.

That one is easily farmable from any of the Swagman characters. I usually do the one on the extension from Triton Flats where St. Pancreas Station is (name escapes me right now - where you do the Little Creatures and Grinder side quests, as well as catch threshers for Hammy). If you go up the cliffs on the right there’s a jump pad that lets you drop right on top of the guy by the crashed train where all the torks and rathyds are.

I’ve personally never seen the Wet Week in the vendors. I’ve only gotten them from the Swagmen.
