Are you tired of having to decide between healing a raid or helping the DPS with it? Why not both? But OP I hear you say, I have to go to a New You station whenever I want to try a different build. What if I told you that you could have both sustainable healing for your raid as well as the monstrous damage a Cat brings to the field AT THE SAME TIME! Here’s the tree:

The first thing you may notice is the absence of Sweet Release, that’s a lot of burst healing down the drain and you’d be right. Sacrificing Sweet Release is risky but it pays off when YOU NEVER FREAKING DIE! Restoration at 5/5 (10/5 with Leg Nurse Mod) ensures that a single stray bullet is going to cap off a teammate if need be, the real reason behind Restoration though is the absolutely monstrous amount of HP you gain from it. I feel like this skill is incredibly underrated. With the right tools it’s even better! Lets take a look at the gear layout (Still in progress)
Slot 1: Moxxi Good Touch
Slot 2: Sandhawk (preferably non elemental)
Slot 3: Moxxi Bad Touch
Slot 4: Grog Nozzle
Shield: Evolution
Class Mods: Leg Nurse/Leg Cat
Grenade: Stormfront
Relic: Blood of the Ancients/Bone of the Ancients
The only time to take the Sandhawk out to play is during a phaselock. Slag them, lock em, melt them… in that order. With Chain Reaction and Wreck up nothing is going to stand a chance against your umpteen bullets flying around blasting enemies to bits. Between cooldowns make sure you’re slagging then melting with the correct element and you’ll be fine.
An Incendiary/Corrosive Bitch would be very nice with this build as well but in a Raid instance I’d rather be constantly regenerating HP from hosing raid bosses faces down with fire/corrosive which brings me to another point in the tree skills selection:
Y U no Lifetap?
To be honest Lifetap has been one of the skills that I have on me at all times… unfortunately we’re looking for skills that compliment both the Nurse/Cat Class mods and sadly Lifetap isn’t one of these. However we do have Mind’s Eye to make up for that, just shoot them in the head and watch your health skyrocket. I’m not kidding, it’s ridiculous. Another reason why I’d rather not have to rely on Life tap is because those minions are precious Second Winds if you do manage to go down.
Cataclysm Tree:
Capped off all the heaviest hitting abilities with 1 in the minor ones to reach Ruin, the 1 point “wonders” can be shifted around to your liking.
And that’s the build! I’ve been having a lot of fun with this one, it really rewards good gameplay and punishes messy. So if you’re looking for an extremely solid build, give it a go! I haven’t tried going for OP levels yet but I’ll update on how it goes.
