Im on xbox one playing the basic copy of the game and would like to get all the add on content,(EVERYTHING). does anyone know if everything is included in the season pass or is there other content not included in the season pass.
whats the best way to get all content.
many thanks
P.S. i think the store is a bit expensive for the season pass are there any special editions of the game that will work on xbox one?
The Handsome Collection inlcudes all DLC for BL2 and so would be the best version for you.

I would second the recommendation to get the Handsome Collection, since not only do you get ALL the BL2 content, you also get TPS thrown in for free!
The issue with the GOTY BL2 backwards compatible version is that it does NOT include the Headhunter packs, which include some that are really useful for gearing and levelling up new characters.
I had BL2 on 360 with most of the add-ons , and when I upgraded to the xbox one I bought the Handsome Collection for ÂŁ15!
Its was totally worth it as you get absolutely everything for BL2 , including all the headhunter packs.
It also looks way better graphics wise than the backward compatible version.
Many thanks, i didnt know the handsome jack collection was a remastered version of borderlands 2 , looks like thats the way to go then, shame borderlands 1 isn’t in the bundle.if i switch play to the remastered version, will i lose save data?

Provided you still have the original saves and BL2 on your hard drive, you should be able to “upload” them one at a time into the Handsome collection. This should also bring over all your BAR, heads, skins, and keys. There are instructions posted multiple times in the 360 and XB1 tech support threads, but basically you use the 360 version’s “Upload” function in the in-game menu, then the HC version’s “Download” (save as new) once for each save you wish to “upgrade”.
Caveat: I’ve only done this from an actual 360 version to my XB1, not using the backwards compatible version. The saves for the latter are kept in a separate area of your had drive from the HC saves, though.
so i got the handsome jack collection today and indeed have managed to swap over my character from the 360 version to the xbox one version. If anyone reading this is thinking is it worth it? then id say yes definitely. The first thing i noticed as i loaded up the game was the graphics and frame rate. I’m no expert but the game seems alot smoother, more detailed and looks like more care has been taken to make the game pop. you can tell its the remastered version.
Everything to do with my character was moved over including story progress.the only thing that didnt get moved over was my achevements.but im not really bothered about that tbh, i like unlocking them anyways
P.S. I also i got 76 golden keys, some extra loot added to my backpack (relic, x2 Skins, Shield) and my badass rank points got reset, so now ive got over 200 points to respend.
so ive just been playing the main game upto now and im wondering weather to leave the dlc until after ive completed the main story, or to get stuck in.could anyone got any thoughts around this?

What level and mode are you currently at? What’s your long-term goal?
If you want to get all the way to 72 and already in TVHM, then I’d suggest skipping most of the DLC until you complete main story TVHM and the game levels to 50. At that point, I’d do select parts of the DLC while also starting UVHM, just to get a good start gear-wise but not end up over-levelled for that gear (it will be level 50 max; you don’t want to be running UVHM at level 53+ with level 50 gear.)
Depending on what you want to do, you can complete parts of some DLC and all of the main story on others while levelling into UVHM, saving the story (DLC1) and side quests (most of the others) that have specifid rewards worth getting at max level.
More specific information about exactly where you are in your progression right now would probably yield better answers, however!
im just on my first playthrough, lvl 31. im bit of a noob tbh lol, my long term goal is to be max level and have completed all badass ranks.but im along way away from that.im gonna have a look in the newbie section of the forums but if theres anything you could point out to me that would help me that would be much appreciated.
i first started playing years ago when borderlands 1 came out. i completed that and many of the dlcs, and had a bit of ago on borderlands 2 but never maxed out level or anything, and never had time to completed it.now, years later theres things like hard modes and ultra hard modes which i dont understand lol.my goal at the moment is to completed the game, but i also want to be able to get good loot at max level.p.s. im bit of a hoarder, but im not sure if its worth it just yet hoarding guns as thell be useless when im max level.

I wouldn’t worry too much about max level quest rewards, you can reset your UVHM progress anytime you want. I’m in a similar place, but further along. I did thorough runs through NVHM and ended between 33 and 32. In TVHM I did the main story, maybe 1 complete DLC, then at 50 I did Mercenary Day and stomped the snowman once or twice after to get some gear for UVHM. All of my toons were at 50+ and geared decently by the loot train in UVHM before I started in earnest. I just hit 72 with my siren doing story missions and opening farms with a little light farming on the way. I haven’t figured what to do with the other five, as I’m wondering if this will get a little old after 1 or 2 cycles.I wouldn’t think of them as hard necessarily, but more like playing with everything cranked up a few notches. Everything moves faster because everyone hits harder, including you. And if you think you need some help, try the “100 Ways to Stay Alive in UVHM” thread started by Mr @Giuvitu. It has kept me alive for quite some time.

Given where you are, there’s some info and links in the “What now?” section of this guide that you might find helpful:
Note that DLCs 3 and 4 (Hammerlock and Tina) scale up to 35 in normal mode so, if you wanted to do one of those now just for a bit of variety, you can do. You’ll still need to complete main story in True Vault Hunter Mode (TVHM) to unlock Ultimate mode (UVHM), but you can switch between normal and true any time by hitting the character select button then choosing the mode in the resulting dialog box.
My standard leveling approach is to do the Tiny Tina DLC at the end of NVHM. Once you get farther into the game (sometime in UVHM, typically) you’re going to want to finish buying your ammo supply upgrades from Crazy Earl. The Ancient Dragons (unlocked by Raiders of the Last Boss) are by far the quickest way to do so; otherwise you end up farming the Warrior which drops about 4x less eridium per kill.
