What are you going to do to celebrate?

Play Borderlands 2… :stuck_out_tongue:

Same as always,
Power leveling, farming, or just playing the game.

Would be nice if they popped a little surprise for this, but I suppose they’ve been done adding anything new to this game for a long time now

Play BL2, get drunk, pass out!

Works for Mordecai and I’m sure it’ll work for me

I knew there was a quote somewhere but I couldn’t put my finger on it! Bravo!

Technically it’s steal the vault key but I’ve done that a lot :stuck_out_tongue:

Perhaps it would be the appropriate time to start a new Axton. He was my very first , and he’s the one character I can’t seem to jive with.

This requires deep introspection

To celebrate this most auspicious occasion, I believe I will try to take each of my toons for a stroll, routes depending on progress. Gunpowder fireworks are the best kind, right? :tada:
Edit after further thought: Maybe I’ll try some coop for the first time too, if I can sort out a headset. And if anybody that isn’t a total tool still plays PS3.

Don’t do it - he’s really boring! :frowning:

(or maybe I’m just not very good at remembering about the turrets? )

Sal? I agree! :stuck_out_tongue:

Might try and get my Zer0 closer to 72.

Considering I didn’t get the game until July 2013 or 2014 (can’t remember which) I think I’ll wait a bit and then celebrate :grinning: BTW, first two characters I tried were Sal and Zero- actually forget which one was first…

Maybe I’ll buy Krieg :open_mouth:

You don’t have Krieg (the best character in BL2) yet?

Yep Sal (despite being my first) is also incredibly dull. Acquire correct weapon and rampage forever.

Krieg, Zer0, Maya - they need skill, timing and more skill!

If you don’t (and your’re on Steam) I’ll buy him for you! :stuck_out_tongue:

I am on Steam, and don’t own him. I’ve been skittish about getting him because his skills… don’t seem that fun?

You should experience the joys of Bloodsplosion. That perfectly timed moment when you chain kill a string of enemies with a single Fastball…:star_struck::heart_eyes:

As for its fifth anniversary…I haven’t been a part of BL2 for that long…only been about year now, I think? ( :yum: )

He has some good options to play with and he is the most fun character in the game for me.

My favorite is to melt things Hellborn style (with a side dish of Release the Beast).

Heresy!

I all seriousness, he is worth trying. I didn’t buy him for ages because he was described to me as ā€˜just’ a melee character where you hit stuff without much skill, but when I eventually got the DLC I found that a real misrepresentation. He’s pretty subtle - and tough. I reckon his skill trees are among the best designed of all bl2 (probably behind Maya). Not everyone’s cup of tea of course.

BLOODSPLOSION!!! How is that not the definition of fun? :stuck_out_tongue:

More seriously, there are aspects of his design that seem like they’d appeal to you. The core of the Bloodlust tree is a circle of three kill skills; kill with melee to boost grenade damage, then kill with grenade or explosion to boost gun damage, then kill with a bullet to boost melee damage. You seem like the type of player who would work to engineer cycles like that, whereas I think the rest of us (certainly me) only do a small part of it. Either a rapier-stab to start a big Bloodsplosion, or an explosive kill to trigger Bloodbath (self-Bloodbathing guns like the Hornet or Torgue gear are great for that, obviously).

I don’t know much about Hellborn, but it seems like it’s full of shenanigans so there’s probably some fun stuff over there. And Mania has RtB which is amazingly good, plus the core melee skills for him.
