Why is the pimpernel so inaccurate off hand?

Are you specc’d into Divergent Likeness? That will increase your accuracy, but even without that spec’d. I think it’s plenty accurate. I don’t have any issues with it. And I would consider myself pretty seasoned with Sal at this point.

Edit: Steady As she Goes would help too.

sorry i mean more like the other pellets spread is a lot wider if that makes any sense at all to you

That will likely be your right hand weapon - if it has any parts that increase bullet / rocket speed, it will cause the pellets to spread much further.

What are you using off-hand?

yes, I get where you’re coming from now. @Jefe actually made a video of exactly this point. Drop it on us Jefe! :acmaffirmative:

Nevermind, I found it pretty quickly:

I’m going to guess that it has Maliwan exhaust and/or sight. Check this guide out and you can identify the parts :

The Durp has very slow rockets ( I’m at work so I can’t check mine but I can show you a perfect Durp later - which I’m very lucky to have ).

This is my Durp, which by all accounts is perfect.

  • The Deep prefix and the Torgue grip gives the largest possible mag size of 6 for increased Money Shot ( it’s a long ways from the optimal mag size of 12 , but it’s better than 3! ).
  • Torgue grip for increased damage, same with the Torgue exhaust.
  • It has a Tediore sight which increases reload speed. I don’t see how that’s relevant when you’re not actually firing it, but it’s nice to have it when you are.
  • The Torgue barrel makes the rockets travel extremely slowly and in a bit of an arc - and that’s what we want.

Incidentally, I tried a 12-Pounder , Nukem and a Tunguska ( which have much higher base damage ), and none of them could approach the Durp for consistency because the pellets all spread out three times the distance. Same with the Creamer, but that gives you the kind of healing that keeps you alive face-tanking Vorac.

I once had Toothless Terry come at me with a Durp built like that… the rockets were coming so slowly that I thought the game was glitching. I actually spent a few moments shooting them out of the air just because I actually could.

His, however, didn’t arc… they flew in a straight line, just super slow. Is that a different thing?

The Duuurp doesn’t arc, it flies straight.

The pimp’s bomblets arc is dependent on that speed however

I might have to hang onto the next one I find… they were so slow that I think that I could build a character for speed and get ahead of the rocket, given enough distance. I’m not sure how that would be fun and/or strategic at the moment, but that solution will present itself when I get there.

Salvador with 5/5 Bus that can’t slow down and either a leg. Berserker COM or a down low level fabled tortoise will outpace a Duuurp’s rockets

edit: A Banshee Maya with 10/5 fleet probably does too
