If I could loot the world how would I do it

So I’m going from Lilith to Mordecai and I heard from my friends that he can force good drops so I wonder how can I do that or how can I build a good Mordecai that will kill and drop good equipment

There’s a class mod that’s supposed to boost rare drops. All the discussion I’ve seen about it suggests that it doesn’t work, however. (Maybe it does, but the boost is just too small to be actually noticeable).

You can take skills that greatly increase the amount of stuff enemies drop when Bloodwing hits them, although that’s usually cash, health, and ammo in my experience.

The skill your friend is probably referring to is Ransack, a kill skill which will increase the amount of loot you get from killing other enemies. As you increase in level, the quality of the drops produced by Ransack will also generally increase. It doesn’t mean you’ll get a good item every time, but it will probably increase the amount of decent gear you see while mobbing.

I was guessing it could drop stuff for crawmerax like pearls

It won’t do that. Pearlescent gear is not in the loot pool for Ransack. Crawmerax, Lance Chests, drifters, and Badass Lance remain the only ways to obtain pearl weapons. Ransack can cause legendary drops, although they’re still fairly rare, so I wouldn’t rely on it for that.

Ransack has its own pool of drops as @farsight37 said, but it’s more of a mobbing loot skill rather than a boss kill. It’s a killskill for one, which won’t be active very often during Craw fights yet will while raiding bandit camps. And even if it did activate during Craw, it will only add one more drop to the mountain of loot Craw drops anyway.

It’s good for mobbing small fry, since you’re getting about twice as many drops than usual, but for boss fights it won’t do much.

I think one of Scottes’ tests indicated that the Scavenger COM 5th line influences Items(Grenade Mods, Shields, COMs) but no weapons. So it has some use, just not what we usually think of.

It does nothing (at least for Craw)…see here:

Ah ok, I was thinking of Scavenge Extra Items. Got them mixed together and then the terms mixed up.
