As a Jakobs/revolver fanatic, was anyone else slightly disappointed that when you dual wield Jakobs pistols

…that Nisha doesn’t gunspin with one or two of them? I was hoping that the reload is her flipping around a revolver while firing with the other.

Dude she only has two hands…

She technically had more than two, but they fixed that (you could gunzerk anything with Nisha). Besides, she puts her revolver to the side and refills it without doing anything. Salvador had the excuse of his class mods being ammo synths. Nisha I like to imagine flips them a little on the way to somehow reload those things.

Hold on

Ammo synths? Elaborate for Salvador. I must know.

I thought that Sal’s class mods were ammo synthesis, seeing as he moves his guns down to them for reloading during gunzerking. It also makes sense since he reloads so damn fast with little to no effort when gunzerking. I may be wrong though.

no, I’m pretty sure you’re right and those are ammo boxes. the probably digistruct ammo on demand.

What IS an ammo synth in this context, though?

(All Google is giving me is Destiny answers. so.)

I think that her class mod is straped to her leg at an appropriate height to pull off a “Underworld” ish sort of reload. where she drops the clip and has another loaded mag sticking out of some holder thing on her leg. just need to slip the thingy in the whatchacallzit & hit the slide release.

In this context, an ammo synth would likely digitstruct ammo directly into the weapon as Chuck mentioned. The term “ammo synth” does come from Destiny and work in basically the same way. Both fully reload a weapon, and both happen almost instantaneously via futuristic technology. The differences however are:

-As opposed to being digistructed, your Ghost will simply construct the ammunition via the blueprints inside a synthesis.
-Salvador’s ammo synths are active much more frequently and two can be active at the same time. In Destiny you have a 5 minute cool down after using any type of ammo synth.
-Salvador’s ammo synths appear to be universal with all weapons while Destiny has separate ammo synths for primary, special, and heavy ammo.

Wow. This makes a lot more sense than trying to wrap my mind around how Salvador reloads things one handed.

Actually, her “ammo synt” is on her hip, but her CLASS MOD in her case is the Knife sheath on her boot.
Sal just happens to have his ammo synth be his Class mod.

I would like you to hold two revolvers, and then try that…

Actually, about that… I can gunspin with my dominant hand decently and can do everything but tossing it, catching it by the grip, then instantly resuming a spin (I’m still working on that.). My other hand spins kinda slow and I can’t spin it upside down or anything. With that being said, Nisha appears to be much better at wielding her pistols than I am, plus she does spin/flip a Jakobs pistol in her right hand in the opening cutscene. It’s not a continuous spin as she was merely pulling it out to kill some bandits, but it shows she at least has the potential to gunspin with her right hand.
