Are there any point to them? I never understood their purpose. Am I supposed to kill them?

They give a nice boost to move speed if you catch them.

They cycle through healing, ammo regen and speed boost when caught. It’s well worth catching them IMO

How do you ‘catch’ them? I’ve had them randomly help me but also had some attack me.

Press x when they get close.
Getting a pixie speed boost with fleet maya or axton after a kill is crazy!
Ive flew of the map before farming the trees.

It can be quite tricky to get the timing right as they have to be exactly in your cross hairs. I find the easiest way is just to barrel up to them and press X immediately, before they have time to fly away. Otherwise they can be a pain to catch

They will attack you if you hit them.

I just wish they weren’t red dots on the map. I kill them everytime because of that. lol

Once you catch one you can’t kill them, even if you need a second wind… Also, depending on where you are they can pin you in place or block your movement with their bodies (this usually happens when I’m crouching and they fly above me…).
