Veruc Assault rifle - How did I miss it?

Seriously. In all my years playing this, in the countless hours spent on the forum, and youtube. Not once have I made the connection.
Veruc Assault is a play on words for Veruca Salt. God damnit. It is so obvious. “I want that rifle, Daddy!” is the red flavour text. Geez I’m dumb.

This topic is just made for the off-chance that someone else missed this and I don’t have to wallow in my shame alone.

Oh. Damn. I never caught that either. lol! I knew “Veruc” was in reference to Willy Wonka but never caught the “Veruc Assault” thing. Ahhh geez! I was always like, “hmm they left the ‘a’ off the name for some reason… I guess so not to make it too obvious…” Derp!

(This part I caught at least! heh)

I used to pack a Bad Touch just for those moments when a psycho is charging at me screaming “GET READY FOR BAD TOUCH!”…and I was.

You don’t have to wallow alone my friend, I am neck deep in shame as well. The red text makes perfect sense now. I’m not sure if any of the Wikis explain it properly? Better it be an Easter Egg. I love the BL Universe…
