I was just musing and I got to thinking that Gun Zer0 could probably make it through to OP8 with “Blue Only” Equipment.

It would be tough of course, but with his fabulous Blue Coms…I think it could be done

Shield = Blue Turtle…other shields (maybe…Roughrider but boy I’d have to think about that one), Aquetas
Com = any of his Blue Coms
Grenade/Grenades = Blue Slag Transfusions/Singularities, Kiss of Death, Blue Magic Missile
SMG = Sandhawk (hey…even without a Bee it’s quite good!, Bane, Chulain, (I think Good and Bad Touch are considered Purple, if not, them for sure, Lascaux
Pistols = Grog, Rubi, Teapot, DP Pocket Rocket, Blue Anarchist of any element, LadyFist, Lil Evie, Fibber, Gwen’s Heads, even a Veritas if decent parts, Greed
Shotguns = Heartbreaker, Jolly Roger, Blockhead, Twister, Orphan Maker, Blue Casual Ravager, Landscaper, Fire Fire Teeth of Terra
Snipers = Pimpernel, Sloth, Tresspasser, Cher Ami, Fremington Edge, Buffalo, Elephant Gun and the Morningstar can hit REALLY hard (if you can put up with it
AR = Hail, Scorpio Kitten, Hammerlocks Damned Cowboy
Launcher = Creamer, 12 Pounder, Roaster

If you were a Melee type I think you could go a Law and Order/ Rapier route until UVHM probably

Some of the best equipment in game is blue. COMs and most non-legendary uniques. Going purple non-etech is more of a challenge.

Try a real challenge- use only the blue level gear you get from all the NPC’s in Sanctuary to get thru Hero’s Pass and then to Jack and the Warrior. This is obviously done easier in normal than any other mode but I’ve been thinking of trying it out…
