I thought it was only for nearby teammates, but I just got one from it.

Yes, you can revive yourself with it. It’s really valuable in close quarters combat if you go down vs a badass or something that you can’t kill in time. Then there’s the chance that whatever dropped you might be frozen for easier magic bullet comebacks too.
I play sniper myself but I’d probably carry one around and spec into magic bullet even for non-sniping builds because of it’s power.

Exactly what happened, got dropped by a BA (would’ve had the second wind anyway, but I hit a crit and popped up immediately).
My builds probably considered a hybrid, but I always have my cryo Machine on. It’s just too good, and now that I know this it’s even better.
