Quick Relic question. I’m using a fire bone of the ancients on my Hellborn Krieg, doing massive dmg, and never dying really. Sometimes I’m switching to a explosive tho with DUPH, but I was wondering wether it would be more efficient to farm for a general dmg boost relic, and if it would do more dmg instead of fire or explosive respectively, cus then both all my fire and explosive dmg would get the buff right? Any idea where I might farm for such a relic?
There’s a short section on relics in the Krieg Top Gear Guide (link below).
The suggestion there is a purple rarity explosive relic, which is a rare world drop (so just kill lots of things and loot lots of boxes, or hit the trade forum for your platform). I suggest you post any follow-up questions into the Krieg sub-forum for visibility.
Well I suppose I could’ve posted it in the Krieg forums, but I reckon it’s more of a general relic-question. The fact that I’m Hellborn isn’t as important. But I am right in thinking that a regular dmg relic would proc all dmg sources, compared to fire-relic which only procs …well, fire dmg?
There isn’t really such a relic. Relics either boost elemental damage, damage of a certain weapon type, or damage of a single manufacturer. Closest thing to a ‘general’ relic is the Shadow of the Seraphs which boosts firerate for all weapons, but not all damage sources.
I’m not a huge fan of Bone on Krieg (that sounds dirty and for once I didn’t mean it!) because I usually use Release the Beast so don’t need the cooldown.
For Hellborn, I use stockpile relics, because I burn through so much ammo with his various fire rate bonuses.
I also go with the explosive relic quite often for melee. Through I recently found a really nice Tongue allegiance relic from the pixies in the Forest (good farming spot) which works really well with my Unkempt Harold.
I have heard some advocacy for health regeneration relics (Blood of the Seraphs).
