I’ve been playing a lot with matchmaking, and surprisingly a LOT of people were surprised to see me using Krieg. They told me that Krieg isn’t viable and that he sucked, but that is definitely not the case : Krieg is an awesome character.
So I wanted to start a series showing that Krieg is actually a pretty good character, and I started with this : killing Pete using ONLYwhite gearand no weapons.
I hope you enjoy the concept, and if you have some ideas : tell me ! Please note that I do this for the community, if this is a bad concept, i’ll stop doing it

Wow, I don’t know if this is even possible.
I definitely can pull up a nice kill on Dragons, but I need decent gear (purples might do the trick, and I definitelty need the Grog).

To be fair, every character has their misconceptions about them. Axton, Krieg, Gaige, and even Zero to a degree all have some form “this toon sucks at OP8”, or “this play style isn’t viable on this toon”, or one I like a lot, “this character is a sniper/AR toon and since those suck they must suck”.
Not to say the thread isn’t a good idea, but you don’t need to fret over killing the dragons on OP8 with white gear to show the internet that Krieg doesn’t suck. It’s been long enough since his release, and there are enough guides and YT videos now for people to be able to see firsthand what he can do. Simply direct people towards those resources and save yourself the work, there’s no need to repave a road made of gold unless you just like laying bricks!
It’s always fun to see raid kills with bad gear, but you might be right actually, there are enough YT videos showing that he clearly does not suck.
But you know, this is an opportunity to use a lot of game mechanics, breakdown things, and do crazy things (the Pyro Pete kill with white gear is the first one).

With all due respect the Oct 15 patch may have made some of the vids of past years obsolete, as there may well have been some shenanigans occurring due to certain glitches that are no longer available. Fresh redoes of any post patch play might carry more weight now than ever before…
I don’t think that I can kill a raid boss without gear, I tried to kill Pyro Pete without gear but no success. Krieg does work with or without gear, that’s one of his best features.
I just released a second episode of “Krieg sucks” where I sweep Pete’s Bar using the Flame of the Firehawk and white gear, so if you’re interested be sure to check that out
It’s been a damn while since I posted this, but I just released a new “Krieg sucks” video. I’m running around and killing things with Light the Fuse and Bloodsplosion :
Unfortunately, you will need the Patch to make it work since Light the Fuse doesn’t do ■■■■ in OP8 with the bad scaling. The Patch fixed the improper scaling and made it more powerful at OP levels.
But if you really want to try this playstyle, it’s awesome at OP0 even without the Patch but you might want to Damage yourself even further and use the Deadly Bloom instead of Roid Shields (since StV doesn’t down you in 2 procs in OP0)
And like you said, this is really high risk = high reward since you’re back at the New-U station of you don’t manage to kill something in Light the Fuse mode.
