I’m doing a side mission in Fink’s Slaughterhouse. It’s a bandit slaughter arena thing. At the end of round two after I have killed all the other bandits I end up with this midget rat that is apparently immortal. I found some youtube vids about him but no one explained what the deal is with this guy. How do you either a) kill him or b) get around him so you can continue the mission. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated tks.
Quit/restart and replay the round and hope he doesn’t spawn again, I guess? I’ve never had that happen to me, but the game does sometimes get a little weird in there. (Also got to be careful with Goliaths in there, as they seem to screw up the enemy count if you knock their helmets off and they go on a killing spree.)
Thanks, I tried that and it worked. I restarted the mission and he didn’t show up the second time.
Good! One other thing to watch out for: sometimes, the spawns can get stuck in the wall. It’s always a good idea to have at least one type of homing grenade with a decent AoE on board for just that eventuality, since it almost always seems to occur right at the end of the last wave of the toughest round.
Depends on who you’re playing, but some characters can deal with the wall thing. At least, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Deathtrap or Axton’s turrets kill things that have phased into walls.
Besides, all of those slaughter round missions are fun as heck and I wish you could re-do them. Dying (or having to re-try) only means you get even more experience!
This reminds me of the rare glitch where Tector Hodunk becomes immortal.
That’s not a glitch, that’s the game making sure he sticks around so Tales can happen.
