So I just recently bought this game having played BL1 and 2 quite a bit, I was wondering what the usual farming locations are for new characters to make the playthrough easier on them. BL2 had some staples such as the Harold, Fastball, Lyuda, etc and some decent exp farms from mutant varkids or other bosses. Are there any such places in the pre sequel I should keep an eye out for, and if not, what should I do for quick exp and decent gear?
You’ll find things a bit better balanced in TPS, so you won’t need to farm as much going through NVHM and TVHM.
One of the easiest places to find legendaries is actually vending machines. Remember that these are on a timer (~20 minutes), so (1) get as much cash as possible and (2) check ALL the vending machine items-of-the-day each time you return to Concordia or pass a VM on another map. Do that regularly, and you can get rid of any duplicates using the grinder for a chance of something different!
Best advice for quick XP is to drive around the bandit camps and shuggarath spawns in Triton Flats. Jump out of your vehicle, kill everything (5x the XP on foot versus in vehicle), move to the next. FT back to Concordia to grind/sell whatever you picked up, then go back.
