DVL Elephant Gun/AX Madjack?

I’ve been farming various unique weapons from their high-level sources and have been unsure about the part restrictions stated on various sources, namely the wiki. The wiki which I find to be inaccurate on a consistent enough basis to doubt most things I haven’t figured out myself. Thing is, my luck has either been horrendous with these or they simply don’t exist.

As it is, I’ve been farming the Elephant Gun and the Madjack, and unsure if their body spawns include the top tier body types (DVL for the Elephant, and AX for the Madjack). I’ve heard of people shooting for DVL/Heavy Elephants before and never getting it, and since the only two part slots open to variation on it are accessory and body, you’d think somebody would’ve snagged one by now but I haven’t seen one yet. So, if anybody out there has found a DVL Whitting’s Elephant Gun, let me know and I’ll stop worrying about getting something to drop that never will.

And the AX Madjack. It’s been awhile, but I’ve spent a considerable amount of time getting RV, KLR, MAL, and DL bodied Majacks, with 0 AXs. Looking at the information that MeltintheSun provided for us, I find it unlikely that my luck has been that bad considering the spawn chance that part has. Like before, if you’ve ever gotten an AX Madjack to drop, let me know and I’ll stop freaking out and just grin and bear my bad luck.

The old Gear Calc web app is telling me that those bodies are each in their respective weapon’s parts pool, but I don’t think we got that 100% ironed out before Duncan Fogg disappeared. Like 99% ironed out.

Yeah, that’s pretty much the other source of my information about these. Unlike the wiki though, it knows it’s not always right.
I might have a bit of a strong dislike for the wiki, hmmm.

Confirmed yesterday with bill that there is DVL body elephant guns. (Had one). Further testing needed for madjack.

Keep in mind my testing was for Craw - those percentages are not applicable to any other loot source.

That being said, if the body is not locked you should be able to get one with AX. I suspect that the non-locked parts on both of these uniques are determined by the awesome level of the enemy, which is much lower for OEJ and Skagzilla than it is for Craw. Keep at it - I see no reason it’s not possible, just the same likelihood as getting an AX revolver or DVL sniper from a badass-tier bandit or skag.

That did come to mind, but I didn’t consider the AL of the enemy. Going in I was thinking along the lines of

They probably exist, I’m just weak af.

Never found a AX-bodied Mad Jack (sadly).

Gearcalc is correct 99% of the time, but it has some errors, like S&S support rifles being able to use Mag2 (while in reality they do not). A grain of salt is nescecary, tbh. (it is a continueation on your post, btw).

I have a level 68 ax madjack. Fire rate is…4.4 I think? Post it later
