Yeah, no. For starters, she’s a child. I’m pretty sure a child getting killed would result in some controversy. I personally don’t mind, but gearbox would get hit pretty hard with the parental ratings or whatever they are called.
Secondly, she’s annoying. I know most people find her funny. I don’t.
Thirdly, I’d rather they introduce new characters with different backstories and skillsets. Pre sequel passes because that’s meant to tie up loose ends and explain what happens between BL1 and BL2, who Jack is, who Wilhem is, where he got that loader army, etc etc.
Why assume she is going to be Tiny considering the time that passed from events of BL2 to BL3 ?

She could be old and wiser not a kid
The likelihood or them changing her character so that she is not a cringefest is low, considering how her character has already been established to be annoyingly quirky, insane and crass. As most people seem to like that side of her, I wouldn’t bet on any changes.
In order for her to not be a child, five years must have passed. As a tie-in was needed to fill in the 5 year gap between BL1 and BL2, making a gap of events that long for the sequel wouldn’t be feasible.
