Okay so I very new to bl1, so excuse the stupid question!.
After turning In a mission I was rewarded a orange sniper… excellent!. Till I realised my backpack was full and never received my reward.
Is this how this game works? As coming over from bl2 and having the overflow system, is this something I should keep in mind? Having a few empty slots at all times?. Any help is appreciated…🖒
From memory your reward should be there, say your inventory was full at 12/12 the reward would of made it go to 13/12.
That’s how it used to work and was a way to carry more gear than your inventory allowed.
If your inventory was over full at say 13/12 you could of equipped a weapon that you didn’t want and then look at a weapon on the ground and actually pick it up by swapping it out for the one you didn’t want.
Hope that made sense but unless it’s something that they’ve patched so that you can no longer hold more than your inventory allows try going to Moxxies Underdome and put something in the bank and see if the rewards pop up then.
You should always receive quest rewards even if your backpack is full. You just won’t be able to pick anything else up off the ground. I can’t think of any Legendary reward in the game, tbh, unless you got very lucky with RNG… Are you sure you didn’t make a mistake?
As far as empty slots goes, some claim that having a full backpack increases the chances of getting backpack SDUs in Part 2 and this is increased even more if you have an overflowing backpack, which you can only have from getting quest rewards. So the overflow system in BL1 is definitely present.
Thanks guys, maybe saw the yellowbox around the mission reward item and got all excited tbh…so definitely a mistake on my behalf! Guess I will have to take a bit more care of what I’m picking up and selling etc etc in future.
