First off a request to the mods to merge a thread on the Maya page on the worst possible Siren build with this thread, though they may have all looked away at the horror/stupidity of it all…
We were doing this over on the Maya page, but we thought of extending to all six characters. So have at it, what’s the worst possible build you can create for each character? It has to be L72/OP levels and you have to use all the skill points available at that level. I would suggest it involve playing the character in a normal way, but that’s up to you.
Bonus internet points (redeemable in the afterlife for a hard slap to the face) for including gear sets of blue rarity or higher to complement the terribleness of your build to make it even worse.

I’m going to go with a blue Blaze Torch mod and then no fire weapons to make sure we get absolutely nothing out of it or any of the skills listed in Hellborn except for Hellfire Heliotosis since we don’t have elemental empathy. We have melee skills but no RTB or STV so at OP8 they aren’t doing anything but wasting points and keeping our shield down, our grenades are just going to kill us so the bloodlust stacks don’t help, we need no AR just to make sure that terrible skill is even more useless, no Redeem the soul even though it’s terrible anyway in co-op so no FFYL boosts in it or Strip the Flesh…
For gear, let’s go with a Moxxi Endowment Relic since we are max level, we’ll also go with a midnight star grenade, a cradle shield, and then a Chulain (to slag ourselves for easier killing), a non elemental Wanderlust (we’re dead by the time it hits anything), a Landscaper (no Salt the Wound either), and a corrosive Dahlminator (e-tech pistol…)

Non elemental wanderlust dont exist, other good job.
Thanks, we’ll change that to a corrosive Wanderlust then, switching to Shock when we go through loader heavy levels and changing our corrosive Dalhminator to an Unforgiven as well in that case…
Here’s my attempt for Zero, much harder as he has a lot of good skills I realized…
We’ll go with a blue One Shot Sniper mod with Precision as the secondary stat, the Manly Man shield with max delay time to increase elemental damage to ourselves at the benefit of basically nothing, a mysterious Amulet relic, we’ve abused the terrible Midnight Star enough, so we’ll go with a Rolling Thunder with no fuse time and the widest radius to do the same thing as the Midnight Star, we need our Chulain to slag ourselves, a Logan’s Gun, a Boompuppy, and a non elemental Bearcat

Yeah zero was tough for me to, as was krieg. Switching gear per area is really easy as all the same bad gear can be used by all characters. Except class mods of course. Really love this thread idea btw
Dodging all the gamechangers and capstones except for deathmark since it’s not exactly doing anything with no kunai. Lot of melee buffs going on including the bad skills and no execute or MMF. The very last point went to Unforeseen as rank 1 does poor damage but can still manage to kill yourself with a barrel. I also tried dodging all meaningful damage buffs.
Gear eh? Melee override relic, WTF shield, Survivor com with rising shot and ambush (or Slayer of Terra, might be worse) and for a gun let’s quickly pick Orphan maker (it’s a nice gun but I think it will trigger WTF shield to blow you up even more)
@Adabiviak I dunno, maybe after enough folks give their ideas, I’ll put up a poll and people can vote on which they think is the worst, summarizing each person’s build in the post so people don’t have to scroll up to the start
@Lammas I went with CA as a capstone and a lot of Sniper skills, a COM based on Sniping, and then no snipers in my gear set to make sure I got nothing out of any of that, I did something similar for Krieg basing skills on setting yourself on fire, then no weapons or gear to do it… I haven’t done the others yet, but CA’s got to be one of the few capstone skills that can be part of a Worst Build… maybe there’s more, look forward to giving it a go in a bit
Tediore shield, to make sure that Ward’s bonus is as small as possible, that Inertia does almost nothing and that you never get to use fleet
Non-elemental weapon to make flicker useless
Witch COM …because Witch COM

I have to disagree here, id much rather use this spec then the one i posted. Also why arepeople putting inertia in “bad” builds, its so good even with tediore shields.
The only difference between your builds (which I had not checked beforehand) and mine, is I picked inertia while you picked KR
Inertia is good, but not with Tediore shields: it’s % based… on a small shield and it’s active for 5 seconds, and after about 1, the shield is full on its own anyway. the only good thing about it is that it fights DoTs.
…while 5/5 KR is basically a 100% DR against bullets.
Easiest of the bunch
Gun build, all melee skills
I pick a Jakobs gun so that rising shot doesn’t work, but not a sniper so that AOWtG doesn’t either … so let’s say an AR
COM is a blue shot
Relic is a Lucrative opportunity
Alright @Chuck80, I’m about to hop onto Pandora, and I’ll give that build a spin. For each of the builds I try, I’ll pick one of my two allegiance characters (or Salvador if I’m so inclined) to take it for a spin, but they get to use whatever gear comes with the allegiance (but I won’t alter the way I otherwise play; if I need to lean on the best gear that manufacturer has to offer, I’ll report back accordingly). Fun fact - I took her to the Forge last night with a Tediore shield, +5 in Ward, and a Witch COM on deck
The dice have chosen Rotgut Distillery for her gimped adventure this evening.
edit - all specced out. Before combat even begins here…
I don’t spec Immolate on my own… if this gets rough, I may actually wind up leaning on it though.
Rotgut Distillery has mostly flesh enemies… the Witch COM I have is +6 in Kinetic Reflection and +5 in Flicker. Given that I’ll be entering the fray here with fire weapons, I’m basically only getting Flicker here. I’m just doing that for fun though… if things get rough, I may swap that out. I’ve been playing with these same weapon sets for so long that it will be fairly easy to tell how much of a difference a build makes.
No Scorn nor Ruin… I’ll be manually slagging my enemies like some kind of animal. Still, it gives me an excuse to dust off my slag Octo. Seriously, I don’t even remember what a Phaselock looks like without Ruin.
One point in Sub Sequence will be weird… sometimes triggering, sometimes not? I’ve never put fractional points into that skill.
2nd edit - combat notes
Phaselock is… boring? I’m so used to it totally thrashing enemies that having it just pick one up and toast his neighbors… I’m barely using it (still handy for an “omgultimatebadassinmyface” moment).
Got an “Icy” RPG from Vladof; I’ve never seen that prefix before.
I’m saving my Fastball and Baby Maker for big game. My Slag Octo and Peppy Handgun are getting the job done so far (two trophies down, three to go, although I have reservations about the dual Goliath battle).
3rd edit - more notes
The two-Goliath fight was pretty rough… took a lot of knees, but pulled it off with only one death (I did lean on a fire Baby Maker and used a Legendary Siren COM though, and one of my Second Winds was off Bridget as she was resuscitating her spouse). Still… even though the Tediore shield was fairly instant, I’d get healthgated by one of the Goliaths and spend a few minutes running laps, hoping my shield would be able to shake off weapon fire long enough for Sustenance to get with the program. Got a new skin from them anyway.
I saw Sub Sequence fire exactly once during this entire run.
With the final orange bait, Rue the Love Thresher went down as well. Fun Fact: while he’s flying through the air when you hook him the first time, e-tech darts won’t track him.
Gaige is pretty easy too: Fill the LBT tree and stick to non-shock guns and pick every single DT special attack (except the good ones) so as to make his AI as derpy as possible.
Quick charge, Willing, pressure and preparation …shield will be a Rough Rider
Steady, Overload, Duty calls and : gun will be a Hyperion SMG
COM is a rifleman
Relic is a Vault hunter’s relic
