So I was grinding three green items with moonstones in TPS and I ended up with “The Machine”. I was wondering if anyone else has gotten a blue unique item from grinding. Also, has anyone gotten a unique such as this? I was under the impression this particular gun as well as the broomacorn and the jack o cannon were only world drops, not grindable. Is this common?
Yes, they have - it was added in the last update IIRC. It’s still pretty rare to get a blue unique that way, but you can get most (if not all) of the ones that are legitimately in the game.
I’m aware they were added, but they’re so easy to get that grinding greens will work for them? Especially considering I got it as a new character first play through.
Not that easy; you were just lucky. I’ve ground many greens and blues, and not had a single unique as a result. I’m not aware of anyone who’s reported hard stats on the rate of getting a unique, but I’ve posted stats on the rates of getting increased rarity without using moonstones. If you use moonstones you will, of course, get increased rarity, so if you have a lot of green items and moonstones have at it!
