If you jump ahead to 24:20 in this vid:
you will see what looks an awful lot to me like the Bloodwing swooping through a fire barrel, which kills Mordecai.
I’d never seen that happen before, and it’s possible that it might have been hit by stray fire, but I also don’t see any other enemies around.
What do you think?
My best guess is that his elemental item likely triggered the barrel to explode here from what it looks like.
There’s definitely a Lanceman up there shooting at him - you can see the gunfire as he’s running to the right.
I see him now. When I returned to the area i didn’t come across any more lance, which now seems odd. Where’d the one guy go?
Anyway, I still wonder if it’s possible. My thinking on this now is ‘no.’
You can see the Lanceman up there 10 seconds before the explosion on that roof right next to the barrel. I guess he disappeared because the combination of Bloodwing and the barrel killed him. Not that I’ve played for long but I never noticed Bloodwing causing any splash damage so I’d guess the guy up there fired on the barrel himself.
