Hi there. I’ve played BL2 for some 4-digit hours and finally decided to fire up BL1. I chose Mordecai as I tend to enjoy sniping in PvE games. There’s a few things I’m curious about however. Sorry a couple of these are general questions but I thought I might as well stick them with the rest of them.
How do you effectively snipe in this game? It’s probably a pretty broad and kinda stupid question but the enemy movement compared to BL2 is just way frantic and random, not to mention the snipers themselves not being quite as accurate as in BL2. Does movement during ADS affect accuracy in this game or am I just getting really unlucky trying to line up headshots while strafing? Is there some good high level Mordecai mob sniping out there I should be watching?
I didn’t have much trouble completing playthrough 1 but I feel like I’m doing something wrong when my shots keep whiffing all the time even though I’m scoped in the middle of the enemies eyes…
Any general advice as to how to throw Bloodwing out so that he wouldn’t get stuck on things while returning? The ability takes ridiculously long to be able to be used again when that happens (how long does it actually take?). Sometimes he attacks something I didn’t intend him to and gets stuck in some random lamppost or something because I’m not fast enough to line myself up for his unintended route. I’m not sure if there’s any solution for this but I was wondering if people have gathered some general tips along the years.
Do enemies have any assigned loot pools in BL1? I’d like to try some of those legendary snipers (I already got the Atlas one, but I dislike the zoom). Do I just have to get lucky with a chest or a badass?
Also, do the prefixes in weapons even mean anything in this game or are they just random? So far my best performance sniper has been a green Hyperion PPZ but I noticed Dahl also had a PPZ sniper. What are the preferred prefixes for sniping in this game?
Can I respec in this game? I found a purple Tediore masher and I sure wouldn’t mind taking it for a ride with the pistol skills since it kills stuff more effectively than my rifle currently does. Is that option in this game or am I forced to make another Hunter to try that out? Also is there a stash for moving stuff between my characters in this game?
Lastly, I’d like some confirmation if choosing playthrough 2 still allows me to return to playthrough 1. I tried the Underdome and by god I hate the prove yourself mission. I was in my first arena on round 21 out of 25 already bored of it as heck and then I died and it threw me back to round 16 as a penalty. GG Moxxi, GG. I want that extra skillpoint though so I was wondering if I can backtrack to PT1 when I’m way overlevel to just breeze through that bile?
Thanks for reading and possible answers and sorry for my longwinded questions.
