Any suggustions for this Thoughtlock build?

This is the new Maya I’m running with a L. Binder class mod and as par for the new characters I’m trying skill trees I ignored with my original Siren. Any Thoughtlock players care to offer any words of wisdom? Gear isn’t an issue as I have damn near one of everything on mules (except for the Twister, Hawkeye and Ogre = zero), all at level 72 for the most part (class mods not withstanding). Will be trying this during the mission to get the Kitten so it should be interesting to say the least…

Is there a particular reason for the single point in Kinetic Reflection? Depending on which shield you’re gonna use, and the stats on it, it might be better to put it in Inertia to cancel out those DoT’s. But it’s just one single point. Other than that, it looks solid. :acmaffirmative:

…agree about the single point in Kinetic Reflection (and about putting it into Inertia), but I’d hit that build. If you’ve never played Maya this way (with Thoughtlock, Converge, and Sub Sequence backed by a Legendary Binder COM), you’re in for a real treat.

This is an update (moving a point into Cloudkill) on what I used to solo through OP8:

I’ve also killed Pete and Hyperius with it, and find it to be my fastest Handsome Sorc killing build.

Some quick hits:

I prefer to use the Legendary Siren for maximum cool down, because I found that I often killed things waaaay before TL timed out when I used a Binder. If I were to go Binder again, I’d drop to 1 point in Sweet Release, and add to Fleet.

I like the single point in Fleet for use in speed runs, along with a Breakneck Banshee + Rough Rider

I dislike Sub-Sequence everywhere except against Invincible Craw, where it is absolutely incredible. That skill almost trivializes everything after phase 1. It’s a blast. Here’s what I use there:

TL makes some enemies far easier (4x Assassin spawn, Scorches, Dukino’s Mom, etc) and others trickier (surveyors). Rat types, stalkers, and snags get erratic, so you learn to adapt by using TL on an enemy, then shooting a different target.

I often used TL on rushers (Rabids, Ironclad Lunatics, etc) because they would perpetuate clusters by continually charging others, and because they would draw fire. That was prior to the Cloudkill patch, so it may now be better to TL ranged enemies so that rushers rammed into the cloud.

If I were to use a Binder for a TL build, I think I would favor a Blockade or Antagonist, and use Pimpernel and Bekah almost exclusively (to really take advantage of Reaper with huge first hits, and to get value out of CR). I’d still BeeHawk big/slow targets like Craw, but the SandHawk pellets are tricky against frenetic targets under TL.

Any specific gear tips for Badass Magic Slaughter? Esp. with 10/5 Accelerate. It’s so tough to solo!!

more kinetic reflection and an ant. mirrored trickster and watch assailants die on their own bullets. mob everything. petes bar is a laugh with that.

the single point in sweet release or elated can be offset with cloud kill on simply equiping a grog or moxxi will fix health.

tips with thought lock: Surveyors will heal you if shield or health is low. kill em for their help.

ive run dp with same build but simply all kinetic reflection, and only a few point in ward (high ba rank compensates).
