Class Mods & Respec for Raid Bosses - Commando

So I’m using a Legendary Solider class mod that boosts shield recharge rate and reduces delay. Great for the Bee shield. It also had +5 kill skills for recharge, damage and rate of fire but I don’t know how useful any of that would be against the TTADK dragons or Terramorphus. I’ve never tried to fight the dragons but I have fought Terra before. I also have a legendary health regeneration class mod and engineer mod. The engineer mod is what I’m probably going to use. It’s +45% cooldown, with +5 sentry, and a few others that I’m pretty sure include battlefront and resourceful. So I would be able to use my turrets for pretty much the entire fight. I’m wondering which skills you would suggest NOT investing in when my skills are going to be respeced primarily for fighting one enemy. I’m not going to bother with investing anything in FFYL or kill skills but what else? Thanks!

W/O knowing what gear you have available (but assuming the use of some type of explosive weapons) I’d suggest this:

If you don’t plan on using a lot of grenades then take the points from Grenadier and put them into Ready. Your gear will determine how useful some of these skills are but I tried to focus on his shield skills since you say you might be using a Bee…

The “Legendary Soldier” you’re using is a Legendary Ranger which as you said mainly boosts killskills. I wouldn’t really recommend using this against Terra or the Dragons even when BeeHawking. You’re better of with an actual Legendary Soldier.

This is the spec I would use for the Dragons: http://bl2skills.com/commando.html#55054105015504010000005055004151

And this the one for Terra: http://bl2skills.com/commando.html#55054105015405010000005050055141

I’m mostly using elemental SMGs to get the most out of the amp damage from the Bee. I have a +30 SMG damage and FFYL bonus relic but I’ll probably use my cooldown/fire damage relic. I’ve got the Slagga, Hellfire/fire Veruc, shock Bitch/Lyuda and I use a Hornet for corrosive because I haven’t been able to successfully farm a legendary corrosive SMG. Those are my weapons 95% of the time. Terra stays slagged for about 1 second in my experience so I’ll probably use my fire Veruc and Hellfire mostly. My turrets will be continuously firing slag so maybe I’ll have better luck.

If you want a decent corrosive SMG get the Bad Touch from Moxxie- and if you’ve already done so you can get another if you have a second account on your platform of choice that can join your main account character. Trade the new character some money and have them tip Moxxie- eventually she’ll offer up the Bad Touch and as host it will be set to your level. Rinse and repeat as often as desired until you get your legendary corrosive SMG…

Did they fix the elemental thing with the dragons in the air? I don’t read patch notes since I don’t care enough half the time.

Nope enemies like the dragons, loot midgets and so on are still unslaggable when slagging them in the air.

Well then taking double up off would potentially be better for the dragons.
Even if that thing about them getting resistances was true, never tested it or looked into it.

The build I use to solo the dragons normally is:

Forbearance really won’t do much to the dots past 1 point except for slag.
QC will outlast each dot and if using something like an ant or a block you’d gain all the resistance you’d need to them.

I didn’t really fight them much because I was more after vorac kills with flakkers, but that build worked really well.

In my experience Double-Up isn’t a problem as long as you recall the turrets as soon as a dragon dies or flies away. It really helps during the fight since you don’t have to slag them yourself at any point and can just shoot them.

I find that killskills aren’t active enough to really benefit from QC. And I also always use the Bee shield against them.

I never use the bee because I am against making things easy.

QC actually pops quite often if you time the dragons right.

Slag isn’t an issue for me since grenades exist and I have a slag kitten on most of my builds.
