Remember it will kill you by draining your shields with shock in UVHM that will kill you and kala is usless no defense or less defense for enemies dosen’t absorb bullets that much and low capacity. Kala cannot be used by squishier characters like auralia and wilhelm. Wilhelm he relies on his skill to heal. Auralia literally need to get a kill to heal

The video isn’t a build or anything. Its a showcase of all of the Boxxy’s special effects, that of which I’m pretty sure no one knew about. The fact I used a Kala doesn’t really matter.

Good music, no intro/credit/commercial clutter, I love “pause to read”, appropriate use of slow motion… great video.

I never knew about the Close Enough/Chain Reaction capabilities, but I’m not sure how much I would rely on those in combat given the relatively low proc chance? As in, with Chain Reaction, I will change whom I Phaselock and whom I aim at depending on the situation, and with Close Enough, if I’m actually aiming at walls/ground because the Anarchy stack is too high to hit anything, the game is going to decide who eats the bullet anyway, so I don’t care so much where I aim.

With this gun, other than avoiding premature reloads, I’m still going to use it like a typical Tediore SMG by shooting directly at enemies.

Taking advantage of the high area-of-effect damage of a premature reload seems about as sketchy as shooting a rocket launcher at the ground to shake off close-range attackers; it works, but I’m probably bleeding out with nobody left for a Second Wind. I’m open to ideas about ways to take advantage of these gimmicks, but they need to produce at least as much damage as shooting an enemy directly or hitting them with a reload toss.

Haha I never said I thought was good now, I just wanted to show off the cool new mechanics I found. All of which is the first time any of them have been in a gun to my knowledge. Its a solid gun that got a bit better in my eyes, but still not quite TG even with all of this.

A shock SMG with aiming and ricocheting bullets with an incentive to not reload… This has Gaige written all over it. Too bad it’s in the wrong game.

It might stack maelstrom decently since each bullet might hit twice…

I disagree, at least on the Wilhelm part. He’s probably one of the best characters to use the Kala with. He has damage reduction from 3 skills (Hard to Kill, Divert Power, and Hazmat Containment Suit), so the Kala absorbing shock damage is huge with him since he can mitigate a bunch of damage. Between Hazmat, an adaptive shield, and a juggernaut O2 kit (standard fare for Wilhelm) the Kala should prove no better or worse than any other shield.

could be good on nisha for targets with multiple hit boxes. might test it on EOS and Eclipse to see how many times my game will crash from the pseudo bore.

EDIT: never mind. not good. but still, gotta love unforgiven + ricochet and/or penetration. (especially on an xbox 360). brought me back go the good old days of vanilla when we used hammer busters and torrents on empyrean sentinel.
