It was good playing this dude and nice to see his story in the sequel, so after some time I decided to make this small piece of him in a more realistic style.

I always thought of Mordecai as younger, but the talent behind this is amazing.

Did you recognize the fact that your art is incredible as you were making it, or are the synchronized dropped jaws coming as a surprise to you?

I LOVE this. Its beautifully detailed and shows a side of him we dont get to see. You brought him more to life than he already was.

Stress can wreak havoc on ones body. Not just mentally but physically too. And given what he’s gone through, losing friends, beloved pets, and just simply having to survive on Pandora, i wouldn’t doubt hed show that stress physically.

Didn’t Mordecai quit drinking shortly after the events of BL2? I think it’s mentioned in the Son of Crawmerax HH pack. He also got a new pet bird. He seemed a lot happier, more optimistic and less cynical after AODK and SOC. Either way, I love that artwork. I could definitely see Mordecai becoming a nomad old sage type of character a few years down the line.
