##Skill Details

###Dreadnought

  • 5/5 Auxiliary Tanks
  • Wolf and Saint Duration and Cooldown Rate
  • 5/5 Fortify
  • Max Health for Wilhelm and Wolf. Gun Damage while Saint is active.
  • 5/5 Energize
  • Increased Health regen from Saint, and Saint occasionally restores Shields.
  • 1/1 Termination Protocol
  • Faster movement during FFYL, and Shock enemies during it. If the timer runs out, Explode.
  • 4/5 Rapid Reinforcement
  • Reload Speed, Movement Speed, and Cooldown Rate after a kill.
  • 1/1 Zero Hour
  • When Saint expires or dies, he leaves a Healing Zone behind.
  • 1/5 Hazmat Containment System
  • If you have Fire, Shock, or Corrosive DOT on you, gain resistance to that element, and sometimes spread the effect to nearby enemies. Class Mod boosts this, no need to invest more.
  • 1/1 Overcharge
  • When summoned, Saint releases a nova that grants Fire Rate, Reload Speed, Ammo Regen, and Movement Speed to affected players for 10 seconds.

###Hunter Killer

  • 5/5 Afterburner
  • Reload Speed, Projectile Speed, and Wolf Air Speed.
  • 5/5 Fire Support
  • Gun Damage and Wolf Damage.
  • 5/5 Suppression
  • Fire Rate and Wolf Fire Rate after a kill.

  • 2/5 Rolling Thunder
  • The longer Wolf is active, the more damage he deals. Class Mod boosts this, no need to invest too much.
  • 1/1 Kill Switch
  • When Wolf is recalled, expires, or is killed, he dive-bombs an enemy dealing Explosive damage.
  • 1/5 Scramble
  • When Wolf is killed, he’s replaced once for free, and adds Wolf and Saint duration. Worth a point for the effect, additional investment gives diminishing returns.
  • 1/5 Escalation
  • Critical Hit Damage and Critical Hits reduce Wolf and Saint cooldown. Class Mod boosts this, no need to invest more.
  • 1/1 Omega Strike
  • Wolf periodically shoots Missiles.

###Cyber Commando

  • Melee Override: Explosive Punch with longer range (12 second cooldown).
  • 3/5 Emergency Response
  • Reload Speed, Fire Rate, Wolf Fire Rate for 15 seconds after shield is depleted. Shield must fully recharge to re-apply. Class Mod boosts this, no need to invest too much.
  • 1/1 Shock Absrobers
  • Shoot while Sprinting, suffer no Accuracy penalty, and gain Gun Damage.
  • 1/5 Divert Power
  • When Shield is depleted at low Health, Recharge Shield and gain Damage Resistance for a few seconds. Class Mod boosts this, no need to invest more.

If this is the same as someone else’s build on the board, please speak up.

Suggestions welcome.

Seeing as Wilhelm is my favorite Hunter in TPS im giving this a major thumbs up. Also good use of CoE mod. Might check it out.

Meteor Slam?

Yup.

Juggernaut Oz Kit.

It was that, or a nearly negligible investment into Welcome to the Gun Show.

Well I’ve never used a Juggernaut Oz kit myself so I’m not too knowledgeable on them.
I just know they grant resistance which I personally see Redundant when Running an adaptive shield.
Guess I’ll try one sometime.

Also you could get more gunshow if you just don’t max Emergency Response like so.

3/5 ER + the chronicler of elpis will get you 40% Fire rate & reload speed when up.

Of course this all personal preference sljm. Just with Overcharge, ER, and supression I’d doubt you’d see much difference in fire rate

I’ll try that too.

My thinking was that Juggernaut kits have the unusually high Slam damage (even more as Explosive, which is always higher), and having a little extra radius on it might be entertaining.

Considering the class mod already boosts ER, that’s probably a better setup in respect to the actual guns. And 5/5 Gun Show actually gives an extra shot to Torguemada.

As for the last point (22/22/22 is 69 levels), what do you think?

Rapid Reinforcement (where it currently is), Emergency Response, or Rolling Thunder?

Yeah I ended up reading about the Juggernaut Oz kits having higher than normal slam damage after your post.

Although an explosive Juggernaut sounds fun I prefer a simple ol’ cryo oz kit for the utility of freezing. It still does great damage when a target is painted too.

When I run Chronicler I only drop 1 point in Rolling thunder honestly.

Wolf kills just fine with the added dps from Omega strike, suppression & Emergency Response (Not too mention the boosted Rolling Thunder here) soo I think you’ll get the best mileage from Rapid Reinforcement. Too get W&S back as fast as possible if they’re cooling down.

The issue with a Cryo Oz Kit is that I’d already be using Cryo grenades, which are more or less guaranteed to freeze, and an Explosive Juggernaut would have triple (on top of abnormally high) damage in that case.

The other option would be Bomber, which is the Oz Kit I use in my other similar builds since the Grenade Damage boosts a lot of Torguemada’s output, and free grenades are free.

I guess 3DD1.E would be a good fit too.

That’s what I meant! (How the heck did I forget the name of a bomber oz?) When I roll explosive Wilhelm I always rock a Bomber Oz that has a cryo Slam. Because I remember seeing you recommend it long ago.
When I’m not running explosives I primarily use either 3ddie or a tranquility… Or a duality for Melee shenanigans…

Went ahead and changed the build from Meteor Slam to Gun Show as suggested.

Just can’t trust those “rank” skills man.

Also I love Wilhelm’s chronicler of elpis for its overall balance. It’s a lot like his celestial com imo, very versatile & very strong

I agree, Wilhelm, Nisha, Clappy, and Jack all have fantastic Chronicler class mods. I’m not too keen on Athena’s. I think Aurelia’s is good, but I don’t think she’s that good. You know what I mean?

She’s not?
As far as survivability is concerned I knew she had it tough since I’ve seen people talk about it.

Between “Short Summer” and “White out” I assumed she could tank. I’ve only played her too lvl 7 so that’s why I’m short on knowledge with her. ^_^"

Wouldn’t afterburner negatively affect the flakker and torguemada? How much of a difference does the bullet speed make?

Technically yes, but even without the Flak added, Torguemada still has the highest DPS of any single-ammo Torgue shotgun. And a frozen enemy probably won’t be going anywhere anyway.

And as for Flakker… It’s for large bosses anyway. At worst, you have to stand a little farther away.

It’s not on the same level as the detriment from Aurelia’s Only The Best. It’s not even as bad as the effect during Nisha’s Showdown (which isn’t really noticeable).

If I were using the Celestial class mod, this might be a different story, but with Chronicler, the +25% Projectile Speed is well worth the Reload Speed and Wolf Speed. And it’s better than Venom Bolts and Cold War.

@chaosmark101, the issue I had with Aurelia is that in order for her to work really well you either need to A) Use Sniper Rifles or B) Play Co-Op. Since I don’t do much of either, she doesn’t appeal to me. Shotguns (and weapons that act like them) are more my speed.

OP updated with level 50 and 60 specs.

Ah ok. Didn’t think it would be to much of a difference, just wasn’t sure how much. Further distance on the flakker could actually be useful for the final boss in the newest DLC.

As for Aurelia, you really have to enjoy sniping and a support role to some extent to enjoy her. Her cryo tree really encourages you to use cryo not as a debuff, but as a primary damaging element.

Doesn’t Sniping and Cryo go hand in hand since a frozen target takes around 100% + Type A crit damage? It’s gonna be awhile before I get her there forsure but a cryo droog/ snider and or Morningstar would be epic with her.

first… why Chronicler of Elpis? don’t get me wrong the mod is great but it’s nothin’ comparable to the Celestial mod, anyways…

i do have a build before even now when i use the CoE mod

  • Laser Focus > Man and Machine = if you are mainly using Laser weapons (+Vengeance Cannon), if not then put the first 5 skill points to M&M
  • Targeting Scope > Man and Machine = if you choose M&M at first tree level then this is no-brainer here, but if you chose Laser Focus instead then i highly suggest Targeting Scope instead of M&M, and if you despise Kill Skills then go for M&M instead then
  • if Zero Hour is not working for you then put that 1 skill point to Rapid Reinforcement, and if Rapid Reinforcement is not working for you then put that 3/4 skill points to Heat Sinks instead

now with a Celestial mod

  • if Zero Hour is not working for you then put that 1 skill point to Rapid Reinforcement, and if Rapid Reinforcement is not working for you then put that 4/5 skill points to Heat Sinks or HCS instead
  • depend on your skill, tactics, strategy, and gameplay… if Wolf is surviving on UVHM at max level, then you can take out Scramble and put that 1 skill point to Rolling Thunder instead, or…
  • imo Rolling Thunder is such an overrated skill, if it’s not working or helping to you at all then put that 3/4 skill points to After Burner instead

gear wise…
Grenades : Longbow Cryo, Storm Front
Shields : Reogenerator, Shield of Ages, Bullwark, Asteroid Belt
OzKit : 3DD1E, Bomber
Weaponry : up to you

@Techisoba too many “Ifs” in your post.
Also the chronicler is a great very balanced com buffs good skills like Divert power & ER which let you distribute your points more freely.

Not too mention the boost to Rolling thunder helps your momentum, and the boost to Escalation makes it worth actually grabbing.

Also Celestial Enforcer is too easy mode imo.
