So if I don’t have my PS3 anymore, only the saves on a usb stick not PSN, I cant use my usb saves? it has to be the system you explaind, use ps3 cross save to upload to PSN, and then use PS4 to download to Handsome collection. already sold my PS3, guess im starting from scratch

Yes, it looks that usb will not work.

I’m in the same boat. My PS3 self destructed, but all my saves are backed up on a USB drive.

No console, no save upload. I’m starting over as well.

AMG_75 atleast if this is running better than on the ps3, it might be fun going back thru all this again, who knows, lets hope, Just hard to think I gotta grind to get all my good stuff I had before, which chances are, I wont find half of what I had again, but maybe. Heres to hoping our grinding again is a good time

Find a friend with a PS3, connect with your account, load from your usb stick then send it to the cloud.
I think it should work no ?

all the ones I played with moved on to PS4, don’t have anyone with a ps3 anymore, that’s how it goes when we get too eager to move on.

None of my friends have a PS3. But that’s OK, I’m fine with things.

@renegade67Rick- sorry we’re just now seeing this.

So, as deduced above, you would indeed need a PS3 console to get the job done here. If you can somehow come up with one, being that you have your saves, you can easily get the ball rolling.

Go to Walmart. Buy PS3. Go home. Upload /download all cross saves. Bring PS3 back to Walmart. Go home. Play Handsome Collection.

Does anyone know if Torgue Tokens/Seraph crystals are going to transfer over?

if you have your saves on a flash drive you can move them over if you have access to the following things…ps3, internet, borderlands 2 game…sign into your account on this ps3 install updates if need be and you can upload him to ps4 but you can only do one at a time so if you no longer have a ps3 as a buddy to use his for 5 mins or try to rent one for an hour there are ways if anyone needs to figure out exactly how to do it ill help just send me a message

Maybe somebody at gbx needs to think a little more about the kids who don’t have 10 consoles laying about. Also, what’s up with one character per cross save, why not transfer the entire set of characters on a persons account, and from a USB? I can’t think of a reason to force it through the clou unless something server side processes a file. It’s all very hacky as implemented.

Why force people to ps plus and why through a straw?

You need PS+ for this? You didn’t need PS+ for the Diablo 3 PS3 to PS4 save transfer.

Basically, there’s only limited hardware memory space available for such actions.

blizzard did it through their servers. i might be wrong, but cross save seems to go to cloud(?)

I’d be happy to be wrong.

0_o Do gbx programmers not understand serial processing? is this server side or console side? Even so, that still doesn’t explain why usb xfer was not implemented. How many people are keeping both boxes around? Gbx loses on sales as a result.

Searching for a real life friend that still has his PS3 and Borderlands 2, or alternatively asking some online friend you trust 100 % (I did this for my BAR and customizations) to transfer your saves over is your best bet if you don’t have your PS3 anymore.
