I play on xbox 360 offline. I’ve killed Hyperius probably 200-250 times and only gotten 3 legendaries. 2 shreddifiers and 1 hornet. Also killed vermi about a dozen times and twice by the train. Result was one legendary siren skin. Does playing offline affect anything with farming these invincibles? Also, I cannot use the lockout glitch with hyperius where you walk out of arena and then back in again. I change the date manually each time I kill him and run thru the entire refinery to farm him. I’m in UVHM as well.

Because I’m pretty sure they hard patched Vermi’s drop rates to be a 100% chance to drop one of his specific legendaries every kill. If you only got 1 Siren skin as a drop after 12 kills something is up.

I may be wrong, it may just be a hotfix, but I think it was made into a patch.

Yes I’ve definitely heard of that. Which is why I asked. I’m assuming it has something to do with me playing offline?? It’s the only legendary I have yet to get.

Its just a very low drop ive been killing hyperius since he first came out and ive seen about 4 norfleets from him.

If I was on my PC right now instead of my phone I could give you a concrete answer. But since I’m not I guess you’ll just have to hope someone with the answer happens to see your thread. Sorry.

Yeah I understand the low drop rates from him. It’s the lockout glitch I want to figure out as well as the playing offline part if that affect anything

well i play online and i still get locked out its just the scaling in the game, being offline should have nothing to do do with it.

I just don’t understand how people kill hyperius, walk out of arena, then back in to kill him again.

when you kill him the gate should open and stay open and when you walk out he should respawn

yes he respawns but I get the message that hes already been killed today.

Dude when you say stuff like that I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bee’s amp damage still didn’t get divided up. But seriously only being able to kill raid bosses once every 24 hours was so long ago, I wasn’t even playing this game yet. I know you said you are in UVHM, but there is no way you’re on the current patch. Your game is broke to hell in my eyes. I’d suggest you summit a ticket to 2K until you get a better answer.

Ok im stupid. What exactly is meant by the word patch? Like a fix or update or something? Again, I would assume online players automatically receive these…

I don’t know about the Xbox, but PC players get these updates automatically when they start Steam or start the game depending on their update settings. Anyway, here’s the thread of all of the fixes (patches) released to-date. You need Xbox live to get the permanent patches.

What?! Man, you seriously need to update the game. You’re over two years behind everyone else. Connect your Xbox to the internet ASAP, even if it’s only to download the patches and install them. I don’t think you need a paid account, but you’re gonna have to create a free Xbox Live account to do that. Once you boot up the game you should get a message saying that there’s an update for the game available and you need to accept it (you can change this to be automatic in the console settings menu). At least that’s how it was like for me. If you’re connected to Xbox Live and nothing is showing up when you start the game, then something is very wrong with either your Xbox or your game. You have a whole lot of patching up to do (you probably have a lot of Xbox system updates to install too).

okay, I connected to the internet and yes, a few updates to install. I’m assuming patches automatically install when you load the game at start menu? Also, while previously farming hyperius offline, I must have accidently changed the year rather the day a couple times. My xbox thinks the last time I killed hyperius was in 2019 apparently. So while online and date is set to present time, I still can’t engage him. Spawned vermi twice today also, no legendaries…

A hot fix is automatically applied at the "Press Start" screen when Borderlands 2 is connected to the internet. In general, hot fixes are used to temporarily address issues between major updates. Hot fixes are not permanent -- they are temporarily stored in memory during the game session and lost upon exiting Borderlands 2. To ensure that you receive hot fixes, make sure that your system is connected to the internet when Borderlands 2 boots up.

An update contains changes that are permanently stored on your system and only needs to be downloaded once. You can download the latest update by launching Borderlands 2 while connected to Xbox Live. You will be prompted to install the update if you do not already have the latest version.
