1. Intro
This build is all about being strong while also having fun and being able to play without thinking to much (true Borderlands style).
Looking at Athena’s skill tree I see the healing and tanking abilities of Maya, melee abilities of zero and stack building abilities of Gaige but with even higher power, it can be used in several ways but I think that I found the best way to utilise it in every situation: flesh and armor, bosses & mobbing, single & multiplayer (and also with lag).

These weapons are all great stack builders with enormous damage. They work better at close to mid range but Fast talk and Thunderfire can also work great at a longer range but if the build works you won’t ever need to shoot at long range. The purpouse of this weapon set is to permit you to swap your weapon every 9 second with another one of the same element; I didn’t include ice or corrosive weapons for this reason and also because they don’t build maelstorm stacks.
Shield of Ages and 3DD1.E work great togheter because it gives the highest armor with no downsides and 3DD1.E often replenishes full shield and health even if you’re under attack.
Celestial Gladiator because it adds points to the right skills, improves firerate and replenishes shield upon Aspis activation.
Quasar is wonderfull for crowd controlling, building maelstorm stacks and destroing enemy shields.

4. Build Explanation
With this build you can easily get 100 maelstorm stack at the first contact with the enemy and then stay between 150 and 300 for the rest of the fight. This isn’t as good as 999 stacks but gives you a powerfull boost without requiring any particoular care (no freeze or other stacking metods). I feel like this is much more enjoyable and often more effective.
There’s not much to say about how to use this build so I made a short list of what you should do in order to get the most advantage from it.
It’s very easy, all you have to do is (in order of priority):
-Swap weapons every 9 seconds: fire for flesh, shock for the rest
-Stay as close to the enemy as possible
-Use Aspis when in danger, don’t waste it if you are not dying
-Throw Quasar when many enemies are grouped in the same point and when in danger
-Use slam whenever you can, you should jump and slam all the time while shooting. It gives free damage, stacks of maelstorm, stuns and attracts enemy
-Use melee to move freely and fast around the place

I’m not sure why Gearbox decided to force us to swap weapons every 9 seconds but I’m sure they had a good reason (4 8 15 16 23 42). 
However I think that there’s no reason to do something so mechanical without taking advantage of our beloved machines.
I made a small software that stays open in the background and swaps weapons every 9 seconds for you, hope you enjoy it.
It doesn’t mess with the game in any way, nor does it classify as a hack.
Instructions about how to use it are in the readme file in the same folder as the software, read them first.
If you want to try it I put a link to the software, it requires no installation. Just click on it and it works. No virus inside, scan it to be sure. I’m also thinking to upload the source code so it is even easier to check it for viruses.

I’m not sure I did everything in the right way. It is the first build I have posted and the first time I have seen a post which comes with a software inside.
I also didn’t give any credits to a library, voice synthesizer and NuGet package I used to make this software. If it will have any succes I will definetly do that.
If you spot anything wrong in what I have done just tell me politely. I will change it as soon as I can.
