Lets figure out the Moringstar

So in the Axton top gear thread there has been some big discussion about this gun. I just wanted to move it to a new thread so we can get on with the top gear.

Running Theory: “Your Shots have an X% Chance to give you +60% Type A Crit for X Seconds. This Bonus Stacks”

These stacks are only time based and independent so getting more stacks doesn’t extend the duration of previous stacks.

With specless twsting, the maximum we’ve achieved was +240% Crit (4 stacks).

Give me time to wake up and do my morning routine and I’ll post some numbers
Also do we know how many stacks were suppost to be able to get. Its 3 afaik

There’s no max afaik, I’ve gotten 4 stacks, stacks are independent of each other and only go down when they individually time out.

Here’s my basic test results

Level 72 Hyperion grip bladed prefix
No bone no bee no spec no swap shot
251930 damage
2158k
2765k
3372k
3978k
With swapping after every shot
2158k
2765k
3372k
3978k
4585k
5192k
5799k
6406k
7013k
7620k
8226k
9440k
10047k
10654k
13081k
12474k
17935k
16722k
22183k
20362k
25824k
So basically if you don’t switch 4 stacks are the Max and if you keep switching ever shot there’s no limit. I am still going to assume that after the 4 stacks than the rest are caused by a glitch. As for the Crit increase for each shot it seems to go up by about 28%
Note only did the math between the first and second shot increase. The increase between the 2nd and 3rd is about 25%

Be careful doing this I managed to merge the voice into ever weapon in my inventory and even after dropping the gun the voice still stays. Which wouldn’t be that bad but since I have 4 guns equip the voice says like 4 diffent things at the same time.

:fireworks: MAGIC :fireworks:

  1. Get 3-4 crits
  2. Empty mag
  3. Swap when the reload animation starts.
  4. Immediately swap back

Just re-posting, carry on.

Just wanted to show the video of the voice glitch

I guess if I need to I can make some more videos for various testing of different things

1 Did you Test this on an OP8 Dummy
2.Did you have an Elemental Morningstar

Spewing Numbers alone isn’t very useful without context.

  1. No it was the level 72 dummy the numbers would be diff rent on op8 because the damage reduction. But the percent changes should stay the same
  2. Yes it was a fire morning star on a flesh target. No gear or spec
Edit: maybe someone with access to well gibbed could do some better testing.

Well your non glitching results more or less coincide with 60% per stack, maybe with some bar discrepancy.

Yeah I don’t think I turned my bar off, but if you say the numbers nearly match than it should be fine.
