Crapshooter with Melee Nisha?

This thought just occurred to me now, but if cryo boosts melee by 2.5 and crit by 2, then wouldn’t using a crapshooter COM in a melee build with a roid shield do more damage than using the Enforcer COM? I’d imagine the roid damage and extra crit would make up for the lack of melee damage, but I don’t really know.

You have to kill to activate tombstone
I would go with a Lone star COM personally.

You might want to ask @Afro_Samurai about that: he made a pretty good Nisha melee build back in level 60 cap.

The only problem is most of the time, if not all of the time crit damage boost don’t transfer over to your melee. No matter if its a Tombstone proc or not.

But if it did work, then duel wielding Bladed Longriders would have been the way to go.

But the crit chance still works, right? So long as that’s the case, you could still get X4.5 damage on frozen targets when it procs.

Just out of curiosity, since you incorporate melee in your Icebringer build, have you ever tried it with a roid shield?

Yes the crit chance still works. But based on Sljm’s chart the multiplier is only x3.5 and another x2 for a crit if that’s what you meant.

My Icebringer cares more about living than more melee damage since I can kill most enemies roidless so long as they are cryo’d. Below isn’t my Icebringer but it seemed applicable.

Cryo oz kit + Buttslam tactics have done me well in this relm. I’m a huge fan of the bladed fridgida too. It cuts your melee damage since you are not dual wielding pistols, but you have a really high freeze chance.

Also the Fridgida does really well at close range. It’s pretty ruthless with unforgiven too. TC and Unforgiven all at the same time is impossible with one for each of 'ya. IMO, its worth losing OfEoY in favour of more riflewoman.

Unless I’m reading your post wrong… you can have all 3 capstones at lvl 70.

I was gonna mention that too. Hard choices you had to make back in level 60 are no longer a problem

With high freeze chance being a concern, I would suggest a bladed cryo Taser to replace the Fridgia. It has 24% or so freeze chance and shoots just as fast (considering you have 2) It also has a Hyperion barrel, so 15% tyoe B crit bonus just like most Jakobs guns. And of course, dual blades

You are correct. I didn’t even think of that!

I will work the tazer into my updated build. All 3 capstone skills are going to change things quite a bit.

Go for matching grip then. I usually recommend Torgue or Jakobs grip on the Taser, but in your case it’s a freeze tool so a sustained fire (more mag and reload speed) is preferable to more damage.
