I was recently enlightened to the godlike weapon that is the Bekah, and was surprised to find that in my quest to min-max, I had forgotten what it was like to have fun in this game.
What are some obscure weapons that you found were both powerful and fun? I want to try out more of these random legendaries that I’ve only read about now. XD
I did highly enjoy the Sledge’s Shotgun at one point in my playthrough, so there’s that.
If the Stinger is the Seraph Vladof pistol, it is literally an Anarchist with ricocheting bullets. The stats are completely identical with the same parts.

Seriously though, for various definitions of “obscure” and “non-staple” that are also powerful (and omitting fun, since I can’t imagine using guns that aren’t fun), and of legendary rarity only: I’ll go with the Gub. Get a character who has supreme buffs to fire rate, and let it fly.

It was in TVHM, and I used it on several different characters. I’ve come across a couple in UVHM, but only while levelling up. Burst fire mode against targets before they get up close and personal is excellent. See the wiki for a quick break-down.
Florentine isn’t exactly a “non-staple gun.” It ranks up there with the Magic Missile as one of the most commonly used pieces of gear from DLC4 and in the entire game.
I say non-staple, because if you don’t have the DLC, you can’t use it. Also, if I remember correctly, you can only get it from the sereph vendor. I just love spamming bullets with it. I also enjoy the plasma casters. Common, but fun.
