Someone on another board asked this question, and to tell the truth I don’t know the answer, so here goes: Does DT get the elemental immunity of a shield, and if Gaige has an absorb shield equipped, does DT share that effect as well?
DT would get the elemental ability. If he was wearing an absorb shield, though, I don’t think any ammo would go into the players ammo storage; DT would just get hit less often and therefore take less damage. It should be easy enough to test though. Either co-op or split screen, deploy DT and have the other player/character shoot DT while watching the ammo count. (And to test between friendly and enemy fire, have Gaige out of fire and just let DT go for it.)
