[Theory Build] Dot Nurse

So with the new buffs to Maya’s Cataclysm tree, I theorycrafted a multiplayer DOT/Nurse Build, the players I play with tend to go down a lot and play recklessly. None of us are experts in the game, and I know little about what’s most effective, so I was looking for crticisms on this build: http://bl2skills.com/siren.html#505001000005505135510555410501

I definitely recommend putting some points in Inertia and Wreck (preferably at least 3 and 5 respectively). Currently you don’t have any points in those skills. Wreck is one of Maya’s best DPS skills. Also, you don’t really need more than 1 or 2 points in Restoration, even if the Class mod doesn’t add to Restoration. Lastly, Recompense is not very good and the damage does not scale very well.

I dropped Restoration down to 1 and put Wreck to 5, ad shifted Recompense into Inertia, but that only has 2 right now.

Anything you think I should shift to grab it?

I would probably recommend the following:

I also recommend using a Bone of the Ancients for bonus Cooldown, since Quicken isn’t really an option and the Nurse COM won’t help with PL Cooldown.

TBH I was thinking of going for a L. Binder COM anyways as the Nurse would be the secondary portion.

I would still recommend a Bone of the Ancients Relic, even with the Legendary Binder since the max Cooldown boost you can get is +29% (at OP8) and there are no points in Quicken.

Alright, I’ll go for it. Thanks for the advice!

No problem!

Fun fact, if you move 6 points around, this is my solo maya build with the siren COM.

I added a couple of minor changes

you don’t really need 5 points in life tap, espically if you intend to take this build into OP8, your damage will always be much higher than your health, so sacring a couple points for more Inertia is worth it in my book, up to you though, also, CR will probably give you more damage than Helios, espically since you are boosing helios by 5 so the value of that point dimishes, again, not a huge deal, up to you.

A blood of the Ancients, paired with a big adaptive shield can boost Elated to some pretty crazy levels, you have to be more careful with your PLs because you have no CDR (unless you run with the binder). Just something to concider.

http://bl2skills.com/siren.html#505001400005154104510555410501 is the end build from the advice above so I grabbed the 4 points in Inertia your build has. I personally am gonna keep the point in Helios and the couple of points in life tap mainly for the bit more of elemental damage and the life steal in the case I have to res allies hile I have something PLed. This build isn’t really focused for solo play, I like playing with teammates more, but I’ll keep yours in mind if I do run solo. I’m probably gonna go with the Blood and the L Binder, I’m debating between an adaptive and an Inflammable tediore for shield rn. That’s interesting that the builds are so similar though.

Since you’re specced for healing and in Inertia, using an adaptive shield should give you better results. Your healing skills are based off of your health (example: if you have 5/5 in Elated, your friends will be healed for 5% of YOUR total health, so health stacking is great for nursing), and Tediore’s shields don’t make good use of Inertia’s shield regen.

Adaptive it is then! Thanks so much!

It’s a bit different from yours but this is the one I use with the Legendary Nurse Mod and I love it.

Edit: I also use a Bone of the Ancients that boosts Corrosive Damage and Cooldown Rate

So I read this thread

and I decided I wanted to try it, I’m currently working on obtaining the necessary gear. Switching my mod from the Nurse to the Scorched Banshee mentioned in the post above ment I had to plan a new build. I played with the Skill Calculator for about an hour I came up with this

http://bl2skills.com/siren.html#550001000005504105513550015551

Look familiar? It did to me too. I only included Blight Phoenix because I heard it also was tinkered with and wanted to try it out. I’m not sure what build the guy in the video uses, not sure where to find it, but I would think based on the play style he would want as many health bonuses as he could get.

I hope this helped you or gave you some ideas of your own. I’ll be trying this out monday when I get back in town.

Edit: found the build at the end of the vid. He uses something loke this

http://bl2skills.com/siren.html#055501055005500100005525015511

Build is irrelevant to this, so as health stacking. What important is to get as much boost to backdraft as possible (if your focus is on backdraft, like in my videos, ofc).
Second: It depends what level of gear you want to use,
if low level: lv~15,20 - 40,50+, good thing about this is that you cant wreck yourself with it. You break the shield and even if the surplus damage is much more than the capacity, you will still do minimum damage to yourself.

if on-level gear: 72 - OP+, depending on your transformer and sh and other stuff (coms, relics, skills, bar etc), you will most likely wreck yourself a lot if your gear is not balanced. Positive side to this is that you get additional DPS in form of shock as well as shield stripping utility (where for the low lv setup you need either grenades or whatever).

All I know is it looks like fun and come Monday Bandits best be hiding
