Loot Parts Confusion?

I hope this is in the right area, apologies if not.

Anyway, I have been reading up on what is good loot, and what is bad, and I keep seeing things like “Bandit Grip” or “Torgue Barrel”

So, this is my question:

How do you know? Is it the text of the weapon, or is it the look of the weapon when you zoom in and look at it?

Same with Shields, people say you need specific parts, so how do you check?

I don’t think I have seen anything that breaks down the parts of weapons/shields, other than saying what you need, not what that part look like, so how do you know its even on there?

Alternatively, you can point me at the topic that already covers this and tell me to STFU N00b :slight_smile:

Somebody may be able to point you in the direction of something on the forums itself, but I found this to be very helpful
